Warm welcome and pleasant environment. Food was delicious and good service.

Easy booking online and not too busy for an early weekend evening, last weekend to use my Vitality reward

When we got to the restaurant we were told their IT system had a fault and that although we had a confirmation of our booking for Mother’s Day, they could not give us a table… Bleuwater on Mother’s Day… try to find a table elsewhere… I think it’s safe to say our experience was terrible

We waited over 10 minutes to be seated - we then had to ask 3 times to order drinks only to be told by the waitress wait a minute ! We then had to wait for our drinks and had to ask where they were after waiting. We then waited nearly hour for our starter - despite asking and being told 10 minutes not long now . When our starter arrived it was luke warm. We then waited another 45 minutes for our main meal in which time we saw 4 tables who hadn’t had their food walk out ! Eventually we said we were leaving and don’t bother with our mains and could we have a bill for our drinks and leave - which it then arrived and was again luke warm and bland. Finally the waitress apologised and and said the kitchen was short staffed and it was lunchtime and all the orders came in at once ! We wish had been told that when we were seated there was a wait - and I wish now we had walked out given how bland and disappointing the food was ! Another group came to sit down whilst we were eating and again waited ages for someone to take their drinks order we told them about experience and they walked out ! Good decision !!! Our 2 courses were a set meal and when the bill came we had been charged full price for the courses so we had to send the bill back - it then came back and it had a service charge on it ! Which we said we weren’t paying . The waitress stopped off saying you can speak to the manager - the manager never came over but the waitress came and with a revised bill with no service - would we go back - no never - would we recommend - nope ! Avoid unless you have 2 hours to spare for poor service and blank food and the to be overcharged !

The wait for food was very long and some of the dishes were under seasoned and watery

We both had eggs on toast for breakfast. Eggs were fine but one very small slice of toast each. We therefore ordered extra toast and got one additional small slice each at a cost of £2.75 per person. Felt we have been ripped off.

Usually very good but a slightly disappointing trip this time. Seemed expensive . Fritto misto just not good value for a small portion and if anything slightly overcooked. All food warm rather than hot. Staff as always very nice . .. just felt paid too much at £198 for four people . No desserts 1 glass of wine and two beers.

Friendly and efficient staff. Good choice of food which was well cooked.

Table was booked. Long wait for order to be taken. Breads eventually arrived, jug of water had to be requested twice. Sold out of chicken dishes, were not told until putting in order.Drinks order was requested twice, arrived same time as main course.Main course was good. Very disappointed as was a birthday celebration!

Staff tried hard to keep upbeat but its clear the restaurant is struggling. Many things were not available on the already limited menu. Also we were not told at the time of sitting down that pizza would not be availble that evening as there was no pizza dough ready and the pizza oven would not be fired up that evening. Bearing in mind that pizza makes up half of the menu this was very surprising, will not be returning any time soon

After being ignored for almost 40 minutes we left without ordering so much as a drink. One waitress to cover the whole restaurant and the poor girl had no idea who had arrived first. People who arrived at the next table were served immediately which was the final straw for us! Very disappointing!

Overall a nice lunch whilst out shopping with the family. Atmosphere was pleasant, service was good, food was hot.

The staff was friendly and the food was tasty, but they lacked on staff, which made the ordering time too long. They definitely need more staff to help. Other than that, I would recommended it.

Waitress couldn’t read her writing so had to ask us again what we wanted. The food turned up undercooked and cold. That was our cue to leave.

Food quality has dropped unfortunately. This restaurant wasn’t our first choice and wouldn’t be after that booking. The food was lacking in quality, not cooked properly mushroom risotto which apparently tasted like ambrosia cream rice with added mushroom, my pasta was slightly undercooked. The waiter staff seemed busy and maybe needed an extra help . This booking was for my son’s birthday which spoilt his day by the poor quality of food. Won’t be returning sadly.

The food took a while to come out although they did warn us it would, but only 1 out of 2 drinks arrived, we had to ask again for the second one. The stayers arrived and they had forgotten the bread selection and then they only had half a portion left of one of the mains, which they did take off the bill but we would have rather have had the full portion. Served by at least 4 different waitresses so none really seemed to know what the others were doing. A real shame

I’ve visited Carluccio’s Bluewater several times over the years and it’s usually been fine, but the last couple of visits have really gone downhill. The waitress serving us was very polite and genuinely tried her best, but the experience overall was disappointing. When our mains arrived, both dishes were barely warm. The tomatoes were especially odd — clearly cooked at some point but left to go cold — and when I raised this, the manageress told me that was “normal.” I explained that lukewarm food isn’t acceptable, and her solution was to offer to reheat it. I said that if the kitchen wasn’t willing to cook fresh food, we’d rather just have the bill. She then said she needed to “check with the kitchen,” which didn’t inspire much confidence. Fresh dishes eventually came out, and while the meat was better, the tomatoes were still cold. We also asked for more water and never received it. When the bill arrived, the service charge had been added despite the issues, and I had to ask for it to be removed. Overall, the food was poor, the manageress didn’t seem to understand how to handle the situation, and there was no apology at any point. The only positive was the waitress, who was polite and apologetic throughout. Sadly, I wouldn’t rush back here based on this experience.

Despite having a reservation we had to wait to be shown to our table. We then had to wait 30 mins for someone to take our order, then at least another 30/40 mins before the starter appeared. There was not enough staff to oversee both inside and outside seating areas, and we were told that there were problems in the kitchen. We had a chipped wine glass and another one with lip marks on and we were missing a place setting. Also, one of our party ordered the duck, but it took 15 minutes to be told there would be a further 30 minute delay or we could order something else. There were simply insufficient staff on duty, leaving those that were on duty an impossible task waiting, serving etc. To top it all, the duck was not removed from the bill until we queried it. While they were working hard, the staff were unable to cope with the number of covers. This unfortunately detracted from our dining experience. You either provide the appropriate level of staffing to provide a good experience for your customers or you give up on catering and maybe try something else.

Delicious food and well looked after by staff. We've had a poor experience here in the past with a lasagne being improperly heated, but perhaps a new manager has turned things around.

The restaurant was clearly severely understaffed….the young lady that served us was amazing and did a great job but she was under so much pressure it wasn’t fair.

Food and ambiance was lovely, we had excellent service. However it wasn't until we got home that we noticed that service has been added to out bill, so we paid the service charge but also left a cash tip. This was not pointed out so its disappointing

Pleasant young lady but unfortunately the food was cold so had to be reheated. Not her fault shame the order wasn’t checked before served.
