It was. My 75 year birthday celebration and was absolutely wonderful having my family with me to enjoy it. The food and service was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. My only concern was that upon receiving the bill I was in such a rush to catch my ferry back to the Isle of Wight I didn’t check it thoroughly but when I got home I noticed that although I received The discount on the main meals I didn’t receive my free bottle of Prosecco for which I provided the email I received offering it. I think this may be due to having 3 people serving us during the meal. This obviously made quite a down on the day when I got home and checked the bill, such a sad end to an otherwise very enjoyable day. We always have a fantastic meal at this restaurant. Everyone was happy with their food and we had a wonderful evening - thank you! Carluccio’s has become a firm favourite for us.

Wow. Daughters birthday and they kindly surprised her with a beautiful blood orange sorbet on a board with Happy birthday drizzled expertly in chocolate. How nice and then we had absolutely no issue with our coupon. Thanked the waitress who made my daughter so happy. Thanked managers. Will go back. Would say, it would be nice to have more options on set menu. Thanks to you all

Very nice evening, Emily who served us was really pleasant, she took time to talk us and share some laughs, she made the evening extra special, food was very good, although was disappointed not to see Panacota on the menu, the manager took time to talk to us about that, hopefully they may get it back soon, overall a wonderful night.

Food was pretty good, service was too, received a email the day before to confirm reservation, arrived on the day to be told they have no steaks left at 7:30pm. Next time I’ll have to email THEM the day before to confirm they’re ready for OUR reservation. Food and experience was pretty good but not exceptional, lacks a personal touch though and was definitely a little gutted they didn’t have steaks.

Waiting staff very pleasant, food hit and miss. Totally put off by hair in Pistachio Tiramisu. To be told later that the person in charge of making it had had a haircut earlier!! Wouldn't rush back.

Lovely food. It was busy but the service was slow (1 hour to main course from arrival) and one meal was brought out 5 minutes later than the others.

Unusually the service was poor. We weren't asked if we would like pre-meal drinks or any other drinks after our meal. So we stuck with water and went for a coffee elsewhere. Our waitress was not attentive and when we asked as we left if they were short staffed, they said they were not.

The service started well but after the initial greeting and order taking the staff seemed to ignore us and when we paid the bill the member of staff literally didn’t say a single word to us. Luckily the food was good but a little over priced for the portion size.

Brilliant as always. Our Traditional breakfasts were all perfectly cooked and beautifully served. Our waitress Isobel who we have met before is excellent. So friendly and welcoming; a real credit to you. We will be back....

We booked Carluccios yesterday to celebrate the birthday of our daughter who passed away at the end of September. She loved Carluccios and as usual the food and service were really good.

Came for an early family Christmas meal and had a really nice afternoon. We all ate from the Festive Menu, which was very reasonably priced with great dishes. Nice atmosphere and good service. Will come back again.

It's a great location with a fine view of the harbour. Food and service excellent as usual with a nice busy buzz. No problem with extending our table to six from our booked four.

Food and waitress was great but sadly other customers in the restaurant drunk, loud, arguing and vaping at the table.

This was our first visit to Carluccios so not sure what to expect. We were greeted well on arrival and sat promptly. It was reasonably busy but we were looked after without delays. Food portions were good and overall we had a nice meal.

The sea bass was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed the crushed potatoes, capers, red pepper pieces and olives with it. Glad there were no onions as I am on a low FODMAP diet, as well as being gluten-free and dairy free. It would have been nicer to have had a choice as I always have to have the sea bass because everything else has something in it that I can’t have and makes me ill and in pain. Also in the ladies the hand dryer only gives out cold air. It should be warm air to dry hands.

Another excellent lunch at Gunwharf Quays. We will certainly be back.

We were unimpressed with our waitress. She looked miserable, forgot our Prosecco & didn’t ask how we wanted our steak cooked. This meant my daughter had to send her steak back, and then ended up eating on her own, as we had finished.
