If it were for us, we could run on Italian food forever, never taking a break. With pizza, pasta, antipasti and fresh salads we’d have just the right balance of vitamins and soul food to keep us going and keep us smiling. Good thing that in Birmingham’s Bearwood Casa Italia serves up a great array of authentic Italian dishes, treating you to some of the most wonderful cuisine on Hagley Road. Come with your significant other or as a group and be prepared to be wowed.
Welcome to Casa Italia, Birmingham’s Italian hidden secret in the Bearwood area. Whether it’s a romantic meal for two, a family gathering or a special occasion, Casa Italia has exactly what you need. A family run restaurant with character and a warm atmosphere, Casa Italia offers a vast choice on its menu with a variety of freshly prepared dishes.
Pizzas, pastas, steak, chicken and fish fill the main course selection and the infamous garlic bread is definitely worth a trip. Tucked away in the heart of Birmingham’s Bearwood, on the famous Hagley Road, this really is a place not to be missed, a classic venue offering a true taste of Italy.
Fantastic food and great service went in for our anniversary owners was great. The table next to us was very rude but all in all very good
The food is great. One of the diners is on a gluten-free diet and there were plenty of choices. We all had a 3 course meal. Fish was excellent. Excellent staff and service. We were even offered a complimentary liqueur at the end which was a nice touch.
Lovely little restaurant. Great food and service - lovely brandy! Espresso was a bit gash. All good other than that though, will be returning x
Great setting and great food. We were made to feel really welcome even though we had been soaked by the heavy rain and didn’t look our best. Will definitely go back when in Birmingham again.
Casa Italia is amazing. It was a Monday night and (long story) we had to be in Birmingham. We expected a quiet dinner on our own. This place is popular for good reason and we were not alone. There was a great atmosphere. A couple of parties and other couples all enjoying fantastic food and great service. Husband had calamari then pasta all good and tasty he said. I had minestrone (lovely) then probably the best pizza I have ever eaten. Crisp base, loads of prosciutto , delicious cheese. We had a bottle of the wine of the month. Very good. Reasonable prices too. We ate a la carte but looking on the website there are all sorts of special offers. Service was excellent. Friendly and pleasant and efficient. Cannot praise our evening highly enough. Just a shame we don't live near there!
I enjoyed a lovely meal here with my partner on Saturday evening. It was very easy to reserve a table on the online booing form on their website. On arrival, we were directed to the seating are upstairs. The room is well set out and very ambient in terms of lighting. The waiter and waitress that served us were very polite, courteous and efficient. We shared a starter of the small garlic bread which was more than enough for two people. Very delicious - thin and crispy base with a puréed tomato, garlic (you need to be a garlic lover as there it quite a lot of it) and olive oil topping. For the main, my partner had a the funghi pizza which he really enjoyed. I had a chicken breasts with a creamy mustard, tarragon and mushroom sauce with sautéed potatoes. It was heavenly. We also had a side dish of fries and sautéed spinach which went really well with my chicken dish. All washed down with a large bottle of Peroni, half a carafe of red wine and I also had a baileys coffee afterwards. The meal came to just under £60. Thoroughly enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend for either a special occasion or romantic evening for two!
Visited Casa Italia yesterday for my birthday meal. Great food, great atmosphere, great service! Staff was friendly and very attentive. Food was amazing and we didn't have to wait long (it was 7 of us). I got one free drink on the house for my birthday and when the waiter brought desserts out they've put a candle in mine, even though nobody asked (which was really nice!). Would definitely recommend this place
My wife and I had two wonderful meals at Casa Italia over the Easter weekend. The accompanying sauces were particularly tasty and the deserts were exceptional and the waitress service was particularly attentive to detail and very friendly. I would strongly recommend this to be a wonderful restaurant to anyone visiting Birmingham, looking for a good meal very reasonably priced.
We had a lovely evening at Casa Italia. The food was really nice and portions were generous. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were very polite, courteous and left us to enjoy our meal. Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending it to friends and family. Thanks for a lovely evening.
