My wife and I had the Amazing Sunday Roast-Beef. Pollock Tacos to die for. As usual the great Staff attentive but not over powering. 👍

Hate it when gratuity is automatically added to the bill for a table of 2! But other than that it was good 👍🏻 Steak cooked perfectly 👌🏻Background music awful!!!

Excellent service and great food! Waitress was very attentive. We arrived early but we're still shown to our table. Very great quality service. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit!

Had a delicious meal and good atmosphere here. The service was great with the right balance of attention to our needs and leaving us to enjoy the evening.

Nice place to eat, very cozy, great for a date! Would definitely reccomend and I will most definitely be going here again in the near future!

Excellent food and atmosphere, the management were very kind in making a special cocktail for my mother in laws birthday.also the waitress we had from Manchester had excellent customer service skills. Thank you guys for a great evening

Unfortunately the Ribeye steak wasn't nice and although they removed from bill then automatically plugged on the 10% graturity payment which is supposed to be optional. Shame wouldn't go back in haste

Third time I've eaten here, and another excellent experience - food is top nosh, service is friendly, efficient and inviting - its not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Food and service excellent . But what makes it a great night out is the music and buzzy atmosphere! Defiantly worth a visit, give it a go

The food and service was lovely but we booked for 8 and were not seated until 8:50 and were not even offered a complimentary drink to apologise.

I took my mum for mothers day. We both had the burger and loved it, the meat was so fresh and tender, cooked perfectly. Although it was very busy the staff were very attentive.

Very busy, could do a bigger restaurant as staff seemed quite stressed by the amount of people coming in. Lovely food as always though! Will be back!

Great food, lovely staff. The meats are delicious and very well cooked. Sides are also very nice. We always celebrate here and it never fails.

Fabulous food and great service. Had the medallions which were tender with a lovely bernaise sauce. Causlaw a favourite too. Delicious. Very busy at weekends so best to book.

The staff were very attentive and extremely friendly. Food was very tasty and the general atmosphere of the restaurant was great! Perfect place to spend a Saturday night if looking for a buzzy dinner spot.

My husband's steak was so salty one side ! We said to waitress who asked chef nothing was said !! He ate half my steak. Bad customer service!!! My meal was lovely.

The sweet potato fries were disaster. They were burnt. I took them back but was brought the same. It was awful . Please can you talk to the chef and try to rectify this

Staff very cheerful and helpful. Food delicious. First time I had tried CAU breakfast, and it was delicious. Only disappointment was that the chorizos are not on the extras on the breakfast menu, as indicated on the main menus.

Food was excellent. Service was great, Katie is to be commended. We were seated quickly and whilst it was busy, we weren't left for too long at any point during the meal. The route to the toilets is a bit awkward but these were clean and well-maintained.

Amazing food, a very nice waitress who was very helpful and in particular their Cau Girl Martini is splendid, truly tastes like Passion Fruit. Must say this is my favorite restaurant in Reading.

The food was lovely, and the staff were very nice. Although the restaurant isn't "cheap" you definitely get what you pay for. The cocktails are great!

The food was very good and the service too!!! I will definitely come back here! I had a rib eye with chimichurri sauce very tasty, although the sirloi tasted much much better!

I found the servers welcoming & friendly. I would definitely go again & recommend to friends. I must say I found it slightly chilly ad we were seated near the air conditioner, however, we were moved when asked if tjis was possible. The music choices were excellent.

Fantastic time. Friendly, attentive staff. Great food. Good space. Excellent visit, would highly recommend and would definitely return. We went for the brunch and left full and happy.

I enjoyed my food, spiral cut rib eye, full of flavour, cooked perfectly. Pudding was great. Casserole wasn’t special. jalepeno bread not spicy, service friendly

Great atmosphere, perfectly cooked steak but quite limited menu. Had to pay extra for sauces and side dishes. Therefore if you only ordered the steak then that would literally be all you would’ve had on the plate!

Whilst the food tasted lovely, the service was terrible. The wrong food arrived to the table which we ate because we did not want to wait until the right order was cooked, this was then not reflected in our bill until I had to point out that we didn't get the right order.

Normally a very good restaurant, but last time it was quite busy and instead of a medium steak as requested I got one over cooked... careful next time

Great food and great atmosphere, very helpful staff, lomito 500g steak rare I highly recommend brought back memories of Argentina, will definitely be visiting again

Steak not the best , prefer Miller and carter, also the restraunt was very busy and the waiter did not care just wanted us to eat and go asap

Back again. Cau Is our favourite place for steak in Reading its always really good. I have the steak medallions. The croquettes are good as well.

Criminally over priced. The food was average at best, low quality steak and poor options on sides. Atmosphere wasn't great either, very dark downstairs and cheap swivel seating.

Great food and service. The rib eye is one of the best I have had. Go for the mushrooms... they are very good. The cornflakes ice cream is awsome

Lovely standard burger. Happy to serve low carb meals. A little bit pricey. Nice atmosphere. Difficult to find. Plenty of choice of Malbec red wine.

CAU looks like a small restaurant, but is much larger once inside. The food was a good quality and the service was with a smile. Would definitely recommend the milkshake selection!
