Fantastic food, great ale and a lovely ambience. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. It had a country pub feel.

Lovely evening spent, food made fresh, beautifully cooked fresh to your requirements. Bit limited desert menu would be my only critism.

Great food excellent service, tables are well presented and not too close together - will be back for more!

Friendly and helpful staff However - food portions very small. My friend didn't enjoy her stroganoff. Shame - as I'd been very impressed with the food when I visited a couple of years ago

Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate husbands birthday. Staff were lovely and seated us quickly. Ordered starters and everyone enjoyed theirs except my son who had mushrooms which came on soggy bread. The roast beef came and everyone enjoyed it. Vegetables on the side were also good. Had an overall good experience with lovely staff.

The young waitress was very good and the attention to detail was exceptional

As always Chetwynd Arms was top notch. The owners, staff are always welcoming, friendly and the pub is always clean and comfortable. The food is perfect, freshly cooked and hot Cannot fault this place

A lovely warm welcome, and the 2 girls who waited on our table were excellent, lovely and friendly. The food was of excellent standard overall a pleasant evening

There were six of us and it was our first visit. We all enjoyed our food and said that the atmosphere was good. Abby the waitress was very friendly, sociable, helpful and efficient, as was the other lady (didn't catch her name). We shall certainly make another visit very soon.

Starter was good. Mains were okay, the beef wasn't the best and the stuffing was very salty. There was not enough potato either. We were first served by a young lady who was very good but then an older lady took over who cleared the starters without asking if we had finished and brought the mains out at the same time as clearing. Making it seem like we were being rushed. After the meal we were waiting to ask for the bill instead the last came over and asked us to move to another table. Confirming our suspicions that they were rushing us. Instead of moving we asked for the bill paid quickly and left. The server was rude and did not make it a nice experience.

Had a early lunch on Saturday, quiet at that time, it was suggested we tried the beef and ale pie, it was absolutely delicious, freshly made, hot , and really tasty. Good value, all the party enjoyed the experience, thank you.

Someone told us about this pub, so we thought we would try it, couldn’t get in for Father’s Day but went on the Saturday, the staff were wonderful from the moment we got there. The waiting time was good. The food was wonderful cooked and presented lovely. Big meals but you don’t feel bloated. Puddings again were lovely not stodgy so again you are full but not bloated full. Will definitely be back

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here for Sunday lunch. The staff were very polite and friendly. The food was of very good standard. I shall be coming back again soon.

Very busy great atmosphere, service abit longer than expected but not a problem. Waitress explained reason and we weren't in a rush.

Very busy on arrival however once informed we had a reservation a table was arranged. Waitress service was exceptional!

Excellent food & nice welcome. However, found service to be a little slow once main course completed & had to ask for dessert menu. Will be back again though!

Visted for lunch on Good Friday. Booked well in advance as it was public holiday and it was full. We weren't rushed at all, the service was good and the food excellent. Enjoyed it so much we went for lunch on Easter Sunday. Once again, food excellent.

Fabulous county pub, friendly and welcoming staff. Good food and large beer garden. What more could you ask for !

Absolutely lovely meal. Very friendly pub with a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. This was our first visit but certainly won’t be the last.

We get a voucher for here off my grandparents at xmas every year and we look forward to it as were always had lovely food anx felt welcome. We visited on Friday but I've got to be honest i wish we hadn't bothered. The food wasn't great. The mains were very greasy and bland the chips didn't taste of anything but grease as did the onion rings. The chicken was watery and bacon was grisly. Also the waitress was a bit miserable and complaining about work related issues in front of customers. The large table of lairy adults didn't really help the situation. Probably won't return.

Good food and friendly staff made the visit pleasurable. Nice decor.
