Birmingham is home to some of the great Indian restaurants of the United Kingdom – and a not insubstantial collection of Chinese restaurants as well – but few that provide all the cuisines in Asia in one place. Chi Kitchen is one of those places, however, and they share something special from all over the world’s largest continent, with a menu that takes in all the best that Asia has to offer. Take a trip into the Bullring in Birmingham city centre – you’ll find Chi Kitchen in Debenhams – and make the most of the pan-Asian delights that are available.
This is one of my top two restaurants because the food is delicious. There is a good variety of dishes which are beautifully presented, and the staff and the most polite and friendly. It's reasonably priced for the quality of food you get, and my boyfriend also likes how a small tip is added so he doesn't have to work it out! We are not from Birmingham, but travel there just to go Chi Kitchen!
Asia is a big old place, and to say that it is diverse would be to play down the diversity of such a huge continent. Chi Kitchen attempt to bring a flavour of all of these places into the heart of the city centre in Birmingham, right in the Bullring shopping centre, and when you visit them, you can try a little bit of everything. Pan-Asian cuisine is a culinary tour not to be missed, so get yourself to Debenhams on the Third Floor, book a table, and prepare to enjoy all the best that the continent can give.
