Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
What started out as a tiny takeaway many moons ago, has grown into one of Bedfordshire’s most popular Chinese restaurants over the past 8 years. Located in the centre of Sandy on Market Square, China Express is big hit with locals as well as visitors from further afield. With an open plan kitchen you can take in all the action as your meal is prepared, while enjoying a glass of sake or some cocktails from the fully licensed bar. So book a table today and enjoy an Asian feast to remember!
China Express is a super Chinese restaurant in the small Bedfordshire town of Sandy. We've been coming here since moving back to the UK in 1999 and the food and service has been consistently good. The best Chinese food that I've eaten in England outside London, prepared in full sight by a team of chefs, working hard by their hot woks.
Excellent in every way, help when ordering, prompt service, although busy the food was served when we wanted it. staff not intrusive, we would go again
Friendly service, well presented, tasty although the wine was expensive. What more can I say ? More words required - what more do you want me to say ?
Chinese food in Sandy town centre, and the surrounding Bedfordshire area, doesn’t get much better than China Express on Market Square. Serving up spectacular Chinese cuisine that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere, this Sandy centre favourite specialises in Cantonese and Peking dishes. The menu at China Express offers plenty of seafood, meat and vegetable-based options that will be sure to appeal to every palate, and with very reasonable prices to boot!
But what kind of dishes can you expect to find at China Express? Appetizers include crispy aromatic duck served with pancakes, vegetables and lashings of hoi sin sauce; Thai fish cakes served with a spicy fish sauce dip; crispy salt and chilli squid and ribs served six different ways. For mains at China Express choose from spicy Singaporean vermicelli noodles with chicken, scallops with lychee and mango or lamb with green peppers and black bean sauce. Make sure you keep some space for dessert, mind you, because with options like toffee apples and toffee bananas, or a particularly splendid banana fritter doused in syrup on the menu you’re going to want a sweet treat to round off your meal perfectly.
