China Express is a super Chinese restaurant in the small Bedfordshire town of Sandy. We've been coming here since moving back to the UK in 1999 and the food and service has been consistently good. The best Chinese food that I've eaten in England outside London, prepared in full sight by a team of chefs, working hard by their hot woks.
Excellent in every way, help when ordering, prompt service, although busy the food was served when we wanted it. staff not intrusive, we would go again
Friendly service, well presented, tasty although the wine was expensive. What more can I say ? More words required - what more do you want me to say ?
I have been here a number of times and the food is the best Chinese I’ve had and service usually great. But Went on Saturday and the food was very very good as always, however I wasn’t impressed with the service. Hence the reason I have only marked it as a 4. We sat down at 7.30pm and after 20 minutes of sitting waiting we had to ask someone to order drinks and our food. The starter came out reasonably quick, but the wait time between the mains was around an hour. In that wait time no one came and asked if we wanted more drinks (empty glasses just sat on our table). One main dish and a rice arrived and then we had to wait a further 15 mins until we asked someone how long will it be until we get the rest of our food the poor waitress was shouted at by a gentleman at the pass who said “NOT LONG”. It won’t put me off going here because I love the food. I just feel that the service could have been better handled.
Excellent food , excellent staff , the whole restaurant including toilets spotless.nothing was to much bother asked for tap water and was on table within seconds.we will as we always have done return.
I visited the restaurant to celebrate my parents wedding anniiversay and mothers day. We had a fabulous meal in this lovely restaurant. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable!
We had a very enjoyable meal. The service very good and staff very attentive. The food was delicious. There was an excellent choice of food. We will certainly return.
