At Clapton Table you’re sure to find British and European cuisine that will put a smile on your face. Who can ask for more than that, ey? This is a London cafe restaurant with definite rustic charm, with exposed brick and ambient lighting in abundance and a food menu that is design to complement. For breakfast or brunch there is smoked salmon or stacks of pancakes, porridge or toasted ciabattas – perfect food to accompany with an indulgent coffee. If you’re stopping by in the evening, however, you can expect British-style rack of lamb with mash, Italian pasta dishes as well as Mediterranean inspired moussaka, kofta and falafel. This really is a gem of Lower Clapton – located on Lower Clapton Street – so book a table now.
The food was excellent and service was very good, my waitress remembered my food allergy requests and was friendly and approachable. I would recommend for eating at before another event, as service was very quick. It was slightly cold but that is because of the large window panes which I sat at. They had an extra heater for the room and radiator on.
First time here for an early evening meal and we were all impressed - very friendly service from staff who really engaged with us, very good food and in a space that appealed with an unpretentious, slightly quirky look and feel. We would all go again.
Lovely food and fantastic service. Very reasonable and is nice and cozy inside. The grilled chicken is fabulous and the chilli sauce is very delicious
