Inspired by Liverpool’s long and colourful industrial history, Clockworks is located in a stunning 200 year old building, where they have created an interior space to reflect this extensive history. Keeping the exposed brick, steel and iron pays homage to this industrial era, while simultaneously leading the way in the Wolstenholme Square foodie revolution. Located in the heart of Ropewalks, Clockworks serves up classic British comfort food for breakfast through to dinner before morphing into a trendy and cosy cocktail bar the evening where the bartenders mix cocktails that will leave you speechless. It’s important to the team at Clockworks to honour Liverpool’s roots as well as foster a real community atmosphere. Independently owned, check this Liverpool emporium out – it’s sure to become a favourite.
Awesome food. Jack is an excellent bartender/waiter. The venue is an incredible experience. I would definely recommend this restaurant to anyone. The breakfast was great
So glad we found this lovely place. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The meals and desserts were fantastic. Highly recommend for a meal if you are in Liverpool
Great restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. Love the decor, though they could add some more things like brass pipes and pressure gauges etc for more of the steam-punk effect. The automated phone service was the only pain.
Lovely food, helpful fun friendly staff who know about gluten free. Relaxed atmosphere we had a lovely time and could happily have spent longer just chilling
What a great place the food was lovely I opted for the goats cheese to start wow such flavour just beautiful then I had the rolled turkey and trimmings the gravy was devine. Hubby started with the fish cakes which was lovely and fluffy inside then he had the belly pork in coca cola he said this was cooked to perfection. The staff were excellent the service was great. All in all Clockworks gets a giant thumbs up for everything and we will be coming back for more thank you
Clockworks looks fantastic inside and is a great addition to the city's restaurants and bars. The soundtrack was brilliant (The Strokes 'Reptilia' was playing as we walked in followed by The Kinks and Oasis...) and the staff were welcoming. We all enjoyed the food and although the menu is not extensive, the mains that we ordered were all good value and tasty.
Had a brilliant time at Clockworks, food was lovely, staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was good. Location was so close to Liverpool One but was off the beaten track and the square is currently been regenerated. Great to go somewhere that wasn't a chain restaurant. Loved it!
Outside the Clockworks is a major building site. Don't let that put you off, it's worth the diversions to get into the building. Service was good and very friendly, food was excellent (pie & a pint for £10). Overall a good evening and I'd recommend you try it
Had a fabulous freshe home cooked meal at Clockworks the pork belly bites were amazing and the scouse was the best scouse I have had. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Lovely bar/restaurant. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.
Really good place!! Went with my wife and we couldn't get over the friendliness, helpfulness and enthusiastic staff. Really a credit to the place. The food was stunning. We had 3 starters- frickles, black pudding and sticky beef-all super tasty! And my wife had the Scouse, and I had the Coca Cola pork belly. Couldn't complain about a thing. Music in the background was great. It was quiet-but it was a Monday night. Will definitely be back!
