Absolutely awful. Waited over half an hour without even any drinks being brought over so left and went elsewhere. Please do not waste your time going here. This place used to be great when it was in Kemptown but has now sadly gone drastically down hill.

Came here for breakfast because of its good reviews online and we wasn’t disappointed. Very friendly staff greeted us with a smile on entry and found the perfect table for us so we could have our suitcases nearby too. Also instantly given tap water as we sat down. The food was perfect. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted so good. They were also always happy to give us more maple syrup when we ran out. The friendliness of the staff just completely rounded up the whole pleasant experience. Will definitely be coming back

Very relaxed atmosphere and welcoming service. Big portion of authentic American good. Owner Alex also went out of the way to show us nearby attractions. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there.

Really great brunchyime visit. Food was great but not to be ignored was the very warm welcome from every single one of the staff. There’s a good reason this place is successful. They are a small team who deliver great food but most importantly take time to talk to customers and greet them to their restaurant. Would recommend to others and will be visiting again

The food was delicious! It was hard to put the fork down even when we were absolutely stuffed! The guys there were really lovely, friendly and attentive, Will certainly be going back :)

We turned up not knowing that it was breakfast only, and we weren't really in the mood for pancakes (the next table over had them them though and they looked incredible). So I had a Cactus cocktail and my partner had an IPA. We ummed and ahhed for ages and the chef was insanely patient and kind and even offered some of the lunch menu if it would be preferred. We decided not to eat and I'm sure we were very annoying but the cocktail was one of the best I ever had - all home infused and perfectly balanced.and I'm sure another time the food would have been great. Sorry for being such a pain!

Food and service was just fabulous. Owners couldn't have done more to make our visit more enjoyable. Totally recommended and just such good value for money. Will definetly visit again

We dined at Compass Point Eatery on New Year's Day; the welcome from Joe & Alex is always warm and they make you feel so welcome and always have the most delicious coffee waiting and ready to be poured. The dining area is filled with treasures, paintings and interesting finds so you're guaranteed to spot something new and exciting every time you visit. The food is just exceptional, breakfast, lunch or dinner everything on the menu sounds delicious and I'm seriously looking forward to working my way through everything. We bought one of our fussiest friends with us for brunch and the guys were incredible at putting something together that he would enjoy and if you get the opportunity give the new breakfast hash option a go, do, it's phenonmenal! Add some spicy cocktails to the mix and you really do have the perfect combination. Thanks guys for another wonderful dining experience! We'll be back soon.
