Courteous attention in all respects and top quality food and wine. The extensive menu provided for all tastes and and appetites - from hearty to restrained!

Friendly and professional staff. Hot food. Good service in a Good atmosphere. Evening visit with no noisy children which as much as I like them I don't want them around me when I am out.

Assuming that red is highest we had an excellent meal , as there were 14 of us it was a tall order ! Thank you .

Excellent food at every Cote I have visited, Bishops Stortford is no exception. Good service, great steak and a nice atmosphere. Another one for the black book.

The food seemed to be good quality and fresh, four of us enjoyed it all. Bill fairly high but was special occasion, we may come again.

I had booked online (something I am not always keen to do), to celebrate my daughter reaching her Qualified Teacher Status. I had made a couple of requests, seating etc. I was delighted on arrival to find the team member who greeted us had clearly taken the time to make himself aware of our reason for visiting. He immediately identified my daughter, extended his congratulations and seated us in a booth (something I had requested). After a few minutes we were supplied with a complimentary drink to start our celebratory evening off. Our evening was made great with subtle, yet excellent service, very good food, wine and a lovely ambiance. On the whole, a lovely venue with friendly and professional staff.

Excellent meal and good service. The birthday complementary kir royale was a fabulous treat and encouraged me to book the table. Food very good value when choosing from the set menu.

A wonderful start to the day - a full English breakfast made with quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, with fresh orange juice, coffee and all served with a smile by our helpful waitress. Perfect!

Food was well presented and very good. Service was faultless and the serving staff were exceptional. This was my fourth visit to this restaurant and my companions and I have enjoyed every visit.

Great good, offer a vegetarian menu, and a good selection for children. Great service too. The waitress noticed we were celebrating a birthday and unprompted, served a dessert with a candle for the birthday girl. Very kind. Will return and would recommend a friend.

Delicious food and lovely ambience. Staff were helpful and unobtrusive through our meal. Location is central and parking is very easy in the evening too.

Good buzz, atmosphere, food OK, my starter was Luke warm but still tasty, steak was nice but lacked any sides, obviously had to order separate, very friendly staff and quick attentive service. Husband had mussels to start, unfortunately two hours after returning home he was violently sick, so all such a shame, and waste, ruined the evening, don't go out often, celebrating our Wedding anniversary, so will stick in our minds for all the wrong reasons

Usually have a good experience at Cote however today service was a little on the slow side and our meals were tepid. We also had a table inline with the main door so got a cold draft each time the door was opened.

Good food and friendly service. Felt a little rushed at times but otherwise had a very nice evening. Our waiter suggested a wine which was perfect for our meal.

Excellent service , only criticism is the menu needs to change more frequently.and my crepes were a bit chewy and would have been nicer made with fresh batter and cooked, rather than made earlier and reheated

Great venue, the service was excellent. Good value for money for a business lunch. Set menu had sufficient choice and the food was cooked well.

Lovely food, good service, professional staff. We had a delicious lunch for my sons birthday. Couldn't fault it apart from I had messaged ahead and said it was his birthday so was hoping for a candle on his dessert but this wasn't done.

2nd visit to Cotes at Bishops Stortford. ordered from main menu this time all three courses were again of excellent quality the veal main was particularly outstanding for both of us. Great night excellent service even on a busy Saturday night can't fault this place, try it you wont be disappointed.

Always best quality food, excellent service and great atmosphere. Have always enjoyed coming to this cote and will carry on doing so. Recommend to anyone for family, friends or date.

Staff are always very friendly, the set menu we had was very good value but the only problem was my food was not very hot and my husbands steak was a little bit tough, we also do not agree with the service charge.

Well placed in the High Street. Terrace at the rear. Helpful and friendly staff and management. Food as always the same high standard using the menu as per all Cote Restaurants. Lunch menu and A La Carte. Always a reliable choice.

This restaurant is my favourite, the food is always very good and the staff very pleasant. Would like to see scallops on the menu more often though as they are delicious.

Good quality food and excellent service, as always. Fine variety and very well cooked and presented dishes across the menus. Nicely air conditioned on a very humid day too!

We thought the ice cream was not good value. It would be useful to have childrens' dessert menu. Our party rated the burgers and steak highly. Would like to have the choice of a good house wine.
