Staff readily accommodated our request to have a break between starter &a main courses as we were expecting a guest, who wouldn't be dining, to join us for a few minutes. As soon as he joined us he was furnished with a glass & fresh water and made to feel welcome.

Food was first class with the servings being more than generous.menu was creative which made choosing difficult Atmosphere very good and the staff were attentive despite being very busy

Good premises and ambience. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Food was generally well prepared although fish was undercooked for my taste. Would definitely return.

Super venue,excellent food and nice friendly staff. Will return. First came across Cote in Lincoln and were impressed with service and food there so they obviously have a good recruiting policy.

Tasty meal. Friendly staff. No pressure to leave the table for other customers. Friend and I could sit and chat as long as we wanted.

Reasonable quality of food, served competently in a relaxed setting. The experience was entirely spoilt by having 12.5% added to bill for a decidely average meal competently served. Nothing exceptional which warrants the addition of London based prices. Will not be returning.

Enjoyable experience, in the city centre, with good food and attentive service. Regularly changing menus with monthly, seasonal specials. Visited for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Never been disappointed.

Great experience. Spent lovely afternoon in great company at reasonable prices. Food great and good value as was the wine, especially as we were city centre. Staff very relaxed although maybe wee bit hard to catch their eye. Service was prompt though. Will definetly be there again soon.

I have been here only twice but on each occasion I have been overwhelmed by the knowledgeable staff and the sublime food. We chose from the 10 year anniversary menu which was well balanced and the wine list substantial, I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. I will be returning soon. Carol Clague

My husband had the a la carte menu and I liked what was on the set menu and I can honestly say all our courses were excellent and very flavoursome. The staff were lovely and we will definitely be back.

Had a lovely brunch in Cotes. Breakfast was cooked beautifully and great lovely atmosphere in the morning, not too busy. Breakfast was a good value for money. Been going to cotes since its opened. Great place for Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner or even just for a casual drinking.

This was our fifth visit to Cote and each time the quality of our meal deteriorates . A sixth visit therefore is very questionable. Very disappointing.

The quality of the meal was top notch and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and charming. Excellent value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Fantastic atmosphere,lovely food and very nice staff. I have coeliacs so going out for dinner can be scary sometimes but they had a great gluten free menu and very understanding staff. Will be back soon!

Good service and food good. On the negative I felt we were a bit cramped in terms of space. This needs to be reviewed. Also menu choice good.

The menu was varied and the food was very good. Our waiter was most helpful, pleasant and efficient. A most enjoyable lunch at a reasonable price.

We had a lovely breakfast with friends at Cote Brasserie. The staff were very welcoming and fun friendly and the food was delicious! Will be back again for dinner!

My friends and I had a wonderful dinner yesterday evening; the food was fabulous, the service exceptional and the ambience of the restaurant first class. I have been to Cote Brasserie twice before and each experience has been as good as the next one. It was however one of my friend's first time there - and she loved it and will definitely be back again!

FIRST TIME AT COTES AND THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT, WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK AS THE PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE FOR THIS PART OF TOWN

Excellent food and very attentive service without being intrusive. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the lunch and early evening meal is extremely good value.

Very nice restaurant which is part of a national chain, fixed price dinner is very good value for money and quality was very good. Breakfast possibly not as good value, but again quality and choice was excellent. Service very good, but do not agree with 12.5% service charge being added to bill even if it is discretionary. would have been a 5, but for service charge!!!!!

As usual my visit to,Cote was good, lovely food and very friendly and efficient staff . The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant as are the surroundings.

Friendly staff & delicious food. Plenty of space & a relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of dishes & really excellent chocolate fondant pudding. We'll definitely go back again.

Staff were wonderful, so friendly, nothing was a problem. Really pleasant setting, tables and not to close together and food is gorgeous as well. Would highly recommend.

I have been a frequent visitor to Cote Edinburgh and today was not quite as good as usual. My friend and I went for the 2 course lunch. Overall I would say that it was tasty but too highly seasoned. I like highly flavoured food but would say that it would not suit a lot of people. My friend chose the melon as starter and it was very underripe. She only ate half of it. We were sitting at the front of the restaurant and were disturbed by the door frequently being banged.

Friendly service, in nice surroundings with a good atmosphere. Good varied menu, reasonably priced. This was my third visit here with friends and we would all come back again.

We had a lovely lunch with friends today. The food was of a high standard and the staff very friendly and helpful. I was also taking advantage of a birthday treat from Cote and we all had complimentary kir royal which was a bonus. We will definitely be back.

Food very good. Staff very friendly and efficient. Ambience--due to the shape of the restaurant there tends to be a lot of movement by staff and customers up the centre aisle, but not too intrusive.

Excellent lunch on Good Friday on fixed April menu. Choice varied and food cooked & served to a high standard. Great value & helpful staff.

Nice atmosphere, average French bistro food. Very friendly chatty staff. Formulaic feel to the set up so you can tell it's a chain. House white very good.

We went for the set menu which is extremely good value. good service and decently priced drinks in a convivial but genteel environment. defonirely recommend as good local restaurant.

Although we enjoyed the food the service was poor. We asked for a few extra minutes to choose then had to attract server's attention 20 minutes later to order. We said 3 times that our Mum was cold before a/c was turned down. A long time between courses being served and had to remind about vegetables. Saw the server then appear to order them so arrived when we had eaten more than half of our mains. Don't like the way service charge is added as felt obliged to pay it despite being unhappy.

Staff could not have been nicer or more professional. Food was nicely prepared and well presented. Cote is probably my favourite chain and they have a wide range of gluten free dishes for those who need them.

Very pleasant staff and well-presented delicious food. The white house wine is very pleasant . Real cloth napkins add to the whole experience and we will definitely be back.

We like the ambience space, and service. Generally we are accommodated with a table that fits in with our requirements. The food as always is of good standard and I particularly enjoyed the scallops from the April specials.

Overall very pleased. Food very good, staff friendly. Good atmosphere. Only criticism would be that we waited a while for our order to be taken.

Service was excellent and special promotion lovely. Choice of food was also excellent. My husband thought the cod goujons were tasteless, my meal was good.

The visit was one of two parts. The food, service and general atmosphere was excellent, as usual, but it was rather spoiled by the behaviour of two children on the next table - their parents and grandparents were completely unable to control the children - a boy of around 5 and a girl around 8. They made loud noises all through their meals and treated the table as a place to display their feelings and noisily too. I and my companion, who had recently suffered a bereavement of a close friend, which was the reason I wanted to see her and try to console her if I could, and which plan was destroyed by those at the next table. I realise that the restaurant could not be responsible when the family could not control the children, but wonder if it is possible to get a quieter atmosphere the next time I come?
