Exeter is undergoing a sort of foodie revolution, with food and wine festivals and increasingly diverse and international dining options, and French restaurant Côte Brasserie in the city centre is leading the way in establishing this vibrant city as the foodie capital of the South-West. Situated in Cathedral Yard overlooking Cathedral Green, the team at Côte Brasserie have created a stunning restaurant and an equally as stunning menu and wine list, to offer guests a truly special experience. With an all-day menu, Côte Brasserie is open from breakfast through until dinner. This Exeter favourite has an extensive list of options, and from the evening menu we recommend starting with the crab mayonnaise with avocado, cucumber, capers, and tarragon with toasted sourdough bread for a refreshing beginning to the evening, before a main of the incredible seasonal rump of lamb with Jersey Royal potatoes, English asparagus and mint Hollandaise. Located in the heart of the city centre, this French speciality does tend to fill up so it’s advisable to book in advance to avoid waiting.
