The steak frites was excellent and the roast chicken succulent. There was an excellent choice of delicious desert I can recommend a lemon tart. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great time with friends. Really good value for money with the June special for a three course meal. Good service and food presentation. Would recommend the peach crumble!
Excellent food, fantastic value coupled with efficient and discreet service and a lovely view over the river. The whole Cote experience is a real pleasure.
The service were very attentive and the staff understood and complied with our dietary requests subsequently the food was good. We would definitively return in the future.
Ejoyable meal, good wine and atmosphere. The staff were excellent. Really lovely setting near the river, a relaxing place to sit and watch the world go by
Very slow service...waited 20 minutes just for the water! Had to catch the eye of any waiter to be served. My grandson ordered ice cream for dessert which took some time to arrive, not helped by sitting on a tray held by kitchen(?) staff for several minutes waiting for 'service' staff to bring it to table. It was only when she saw that I was aware of the situation that she brought it herself, with somewhat bad grace I would say. Shame, as food is quite good.
This was the least favourite of the Cote restaurants that I have visited. The waiter was inattentive and seemed more interested in talking to his colleague than serving. The food was good although the toast with the terrine was cold and tough. My salad was good.
Average food, poor service, so many other good places to go. The waitress was up selling all the way through the meal but the bar closed at 11pm without checking g with us if we needed another drink. Have used many cotes and this is the worst!
Went with colleagues for a relax social lunch over the weekend. Staff was friendly as usual. Good food, great service. Overall, great experience for the cost.
Service was good. Steak frites not as nice as usual, chips not hot or crisp which is not the first time. We will be back though.
Restaurant not busy this evening, and service was unusually slow. Staff were more interested in there own conversations than service. However they were attentive when called and the food was good on the whole...one fish pie had to be requested to be reheated as it was not warm in the centre.
We booked a table for two at 19:45 on Monday evening. Our initial table was in the full glare of the evening sun so we asked to be moved and were so swiftly without fuss. The staff were absolutely first class but unfortunately the walk in trade proved far more than they had expected and the result was very long delays between courses with the kitchen obviously struggling to keep up. The food was excellent and we were given some complimentary breads to help our hunger before the starters arrived. As an apology the cost of our deserts were also taken off the bill so we certainly didn't feel the experience at Cote Brasserie was a negative one, perhaps if we had been in a rush then things would have been different. Overall very good food, excellent waiting staff, lovely location and comfortable restaurant.
Nice Saturday lunch out with a friend in the sunshine. The Restaurant was very busy but the staff were able to serve everyone well and efficiently.
As usual, the meal was super, although the waiter had to have two goes at trying to get the drinks order correct. Eventually he cracked it.
Shockingly poor service - dirty cutlery sticky table, glasses arrived covered in wine. Rib rye was more like rump. Frankly not very good at all. Needs to sharpen its act considerably
Food was amazing, great service , staff were friendly - especially who I assume was the manager. I will definitely be returning very soon :)
Really lovely meal and perfect river setting. Service was a bit slow but the restaurant was very busy. It is such a good position right in the river Thames.
Nice Buzz. Helpful staff. Food always at an acceptable standard. Pleasant and generally cool. Overall, a reliable experience. Nice Buzz.Food good. Better than The Ivy Cafe and a bit cheaper !
Great food reasonably priced, drinks particularly good value; in spite of being busy very speedy polite service. Will definitely go again. Menu changes regularly so always something different to choose.
The food was absolutely fantastic as always, unfortunately we didn't get asked what drinks or food we would like until we made a fuss half an hour after we had been sat down. but still charged the service charge, this is why I haven't given Cote top marks on this occasion.
As ever with all Cote restaurants, a very enjoyable meal. Excellent service and food at an exceedingly reasonable price. All they need to do now is to keep off the rain in order to sit outside and enjoy the view over the river!
A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Our calamari starter was delicious, the steak perfectly cooked. the cheeseboard an excellent selection and all served charmingly and efficiently. And all at a very reasonable price.
Had a lovely meal, as always. Cote is situated in a beautiful location upon the river Thames. The food, atmosphere, environment and my company was wonderful.
Nice food as usual but once again service was slow and we had to attract the attention of a waiter when we wanted anything - annoyIng and certainly makes you feel you do not want to give the service fee which is added to the bill
We arrived and were advised that they were incredibly busy - short staffed due to illness and injury. Restaurant absolutely heaving ! We waited an age for anyone to offer us drinks, take our order etc. The staff once able to serve us were lovely , apologetic and once we had ordered everything flowed along quickly. Staff polite & friendly at all times, food up to Its usual standard. Coping well in what seemed like a bit of a crisis!
For 2 guests this was their first visit to a Cote Brasserie restaurant. As they have eaten in some of the best restaurants in Europe we were interested in their opinion - good choices, good food.
Fantastic food and lovely wine . Champagne was very good indeed. Service good too. Cote didn't disappoint tonight . We will definitely go back !
what more can I say great food very in expensive and the service is amazing. very friendly on the river front please do go here!
We voted Cote Kingston for my birthday celebration . we eat there regularly and it is our restaurant of choice. Friday night was busy and they seemed to find it difficult to cope. It took 45 minutes before we got a drink . One starter was wrong so we had to wait for that to be changed. The bill was wrong and had to be altered. The staff were pleasant but it was hard to watch kitchen staff holding big trays waiting for waiters to relieve them . It was as if they couldn't cope with customers inside and outside! It was unfortunate it ended like this.
My Birthday brunch with my husband...quiet day (empty inside and just a few tables outside) but took 10 mins to get a menu, 30 mins before even our fruit juices arrived and we'd been sat down 40 mins before our table was wiped (asked 3 times!) Ordered their 'Breakfast Complet' (fruit salad, croissant & yoghurt) and couldn't stop laughing when the 'fruit salad' arrived in the tiniest of ramekins, croissant was burnt on the outside and stodgy/raw inside, tasty yoghurt though. Husbands Eggs with streaky bacon arrived without the streaky bacon, as they'd run out but worse, the poached eggs were on burnt muffins. Oh dear. Couldn't be bothered to complain and ruin the atmosphere on my birthday but too many other lovely breakfast places along Kingston riverside to ever return to Cote.
My sister and I eat at Cote often but on the last occasion we were not pleased. The asparagus was undercooked and very woody which I had to spit out. Also felt the service was a bit slap dash, when I mentioned to the waiter that not happy with the asparagus didn't really respond apart from saying sorry. I have to say we are normally very pleased with food and servce
Had a fantastic evening . Lovely food and drink. quiet than usual saturday night maybe due to rainy evening. Staff were attentive. Would highly recommend Cote Kingston.
The Cote restaurant in Kingston was superb today, Saturday the 27th. May. The fabulous Staff kept our table for four and we all really enjoyed the food and wine. The Manager worked so hard and is a great asset to your Company. Thank you.
Good food but a slightly staid atmosphere for a Saturday night, so come here if you want a quieter meal rather than a lively venue
The staff were as helpful as ever, but we quickly realised they were short of staff, as service a bit slow when we first sat down. Bank Holiday was much busier than expected. They were all working very hard. But I think they managed to keep the customers happy! The meal was very good.
Visited with friends to celebrate a birthday Both courses were badly over cooked, the most disappointing meal I have ever eaten in Kingston my favourite restaurant
Excellent food, excellent service, second time I've been here this month both times just as good. Not cheap, but don't mind paying for good food. Only negative poor choice of beer/cider which is a bit of a shame
Not up to usual high standard. Indifferent staff apart from excellent manager. Very slow service. On arrival allowed others to push before us. Lack of understanding by one waitress of the dietary requirements of friend who has suffered with recent throat cancer. Stringy spinach, cold chips. We thought it inappropriate to have a quiet zone with an exam in progress. Rude waitress was moving furniture and did not say to excuse her barging it past our table. We were gratified that money was deducted from the bill for the poor items. We are frequent visitors to Cote and shall hope to receive the expected high standards on our next visit.
Fabulous setting, really good service. Crab starter was amazing (and they very obligingly doubled the quantity so we could have it as a main). Sit in the sun and watch the boats go by - lovely.
It was a beautiful sunny early evening so Kingston Riverside was very busy. However the staff were coping very well and our waitress was friendly and efficient. A pleasant meal and a glass of rose made a good start to the weekend!
Took my mum for a birthday lunch in the week. It was wonderful, no complaints at all. Really gorgeous food, lovely setting, attentive staff...amazing value!
must ssy great food amazing staff lovely aspect, my girlfriend really enjoyed it, great celebratory dinner, wine was very nice and a short walk from the station :)
Great food, i would recommend the chicken liver parfait as starter, by far my favourite from the menu. We always go to Cote to celebrate special dates for us and it never lets us down. Great service, friendly staff and good food.
The manager was very accommodating in seating us outside, even though we were three trying to squeeze into a two-person table. Food was great, but as always at this location, service slowed noticeably with the 7 pm dinner rush. Waiters should work zones, not all work the whole restaurant in a slapdash manner.
Made a revservation 7:30pm, arrive on time only to be told our reservation has been moved to 8:30pm because they were overbook. Asked if there where any tables available and there was one but told we could only have it for 45mins even though our 'new reservation time' would have started 15mins later. Terrible experience for a special occasion and very rude from of house staff
Had a great meal which was good value for money. Service rather slow but we had a fantastic view of the busy river traffic so plenty to focus on whilst waiting. Highly recommend
Not so good today. Waited some time before order was taken without being offered anything to drink in the meantime, then another long wait after starter was delivered before main course arrived. Apologies were made and cost of a 2 course set menu taken off our bill. Welcome, but not the point - we would have appreciated better service.
Food was OK though the toast was not hot which is disappointing. It amazes me how long it takes to get a coffee made at this place. When we ordered it wasn't that busy (tho was when we left). We now only order our food when our drinks have arrived but this then makes the stay a bit too long.
We had the three course set menu which was excellent value. Good service and helpful waiters. Cote's creme caramel has to be one of the best.
The two of us enjoyed a good meal with great wine in a lovely setting by the river with a stunning view. Will come back
