Côte Marlow

It was very noisy all evening which rather spoilt the evening. We were sat near the door and it was very drafty. Food and service were excellent.

My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal this evening. The menu choices were good and the pre-7 pm set meals were great value for money. In addition the service was faultless.

A few problems last night. The wrong meal being brought for one of our party; who then had to watch us eat and then eat alone when we had finished. But the manager couldn't do enough to apologise and to compensate us. But when we ordered dessert a wrong dessert was brought out...to the same member of our party. Talk about adding insult to injury. But Cote is one of our favourite places to eat. Good food, good atmosphere and (usually) good service. So whilst last night's experience wasn't on the money, it didn't spoil a nice evening. Just watch the salt though. Both the duck and the lamb seemed too heavily seasoned!

Great food. Great service. Lovely atmosphere thank you. Really enjoyed our meal and so did our kids. I think it’s the first time they’ve eaten all their food at a restaurant ages 10&7 and we eat out quite often!

Service very slow with poorly trained staff. Food was nice but drinks were far too expensive. Coffee was nice.

The usual good food and excellent service with a delicious free Rhubarb Martini cocktail to start with!

We had a super meal at Cote Marlow. The steak was perfect in every way, the French fries are the best in my opinion in Marlow. The St. Germain g&t's wonderful. Great service, the waiting staff & management are very attentive. All this for a great price too. With the quality of food & service this high, but with such a great price - we will be coming back many times I hope.,.

One of our favourite restaurants in Marlow, good food , great atmosphere, good service from knowledgeable staff and reasonable value for money. What's not to like !

We chose Cote in Marlow as we've eaten in Cotes in Bristol nad St Albans and always been very pleased with our Meals. Our experience this time was again very good. Although the restaurant was busy,staff were very welcoming and attentive. Service was good and food & wine were excellent. Thank you Cote Marlow for an enjoyable evening.

Good ambiance, very pleasant service from a helpful, friendly waiter. We always enjoy our (frequent) visits to Cote Marlow. Food was tasty and portions just the right size. We enjoy your promotions.

Cote Marlow is one of our favourite restaurants , we love the food, the staff and service. Aadded to that We really like the Ambience and Decor

I am very disappointed following my visit to Coate Marlow. We waited for about 10 minutes for someone to welcome us and seat us, despite no queue. This would not have been an issued the food had been great. I ordered a ribeye steak medium rare and the steak was very overdone. When mentioned this to the waitor he said is it too underdone for you. I said it is overdone I ordered medium rare? It was only slightly pink? It felt like the waitir was being deliberately obtuse. My friend chicken was overdone. We ordered sides and the spinach did not turn up. When we mentioned to the waitress she apologised and ask if she should bring it over, we said no. She did bring it over at the end of the meal. This was complimentary but to be frank a pointless gesture, given we had finished. We both left a lot of food uneaten on the main course. My starter was not great however my friend did really enjoy hers. We decided not to order desert as the food had been so poor. I have been to this restaurant previously and had a great meal. That experience was the reason I returned. I ordered the steak previously and it was cooked perfectly, all the food was amazing. This is the reason I returned. My friend had the same experience only a week ago. We had really been looking forward to the meal and were very disappointed. The food at this restaurant appears to be very hit and miss and not consistent. The waiting staff are not helpful if there is an issue. I will not return and risk a bad meal, due to the price.

Slow service. The B Team was on duty last night. Young and inexperienced. Had to remind them that a cocktail was part of the deal. The risotto proved to be inedible. Not charged. Some of the food was clearly waiting a long time before being ordered. Vegetables in particular. The Breton Fish stew is a little bit "thinner" that it was when you opened first. A pity. We normally have the Cote as our number one restaurant in Marlow. We will take another look elsewhere next time. You did ask!

As usual, we had an excellent evening at Côte Brasserie Marlow. Staff was nice and friendly, and offered a great service. And the food was delicious, especially the fillet of steak. Highly recommended.

We were welcomed and given a choice of table we chose to sit in the front lobby. Service was very fast to start with and our starters arrived promptly my husband had steak tartare he said it was fairly bland but he was given condiments to add flavour to it. My endive salad was amazing. Whilst waiting for our mains a waiter bought us the dessert menu!! Our mains were very good although I burnt my tongue on the pork belly. It got very noisy as tables are close by but overall an enjoyable evening out.

I appreciate it was very busy and there were groups for Father’s Day but it very much felt like tables for 2 were an after thought and put in the worst positions. We felt like we’d been put in a corridor, and a draughty one at that. The food was good though.

Excellent service as always for the Marlow team. Hard to think of somewhere that’s better value. All the party enjoyed themselves and their meals. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing staff, great place to celebrate a birthday! Great food which came very quickly. Cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend. Can get a bit noisy sometimes but wasn’t really too uncomfortable.

We felt a little rushed and being Valentine's day the price was not as good value as on other days. It was good to be able to pick a package of drinks that matched each course. A fixed service charge is added - this should be included in the marketed price.

It was a nice experience and the food was good however I did feel that my friend's food was presented poorly - two bits of toast with a piece of bacon chucked on top of each slice in the corner of a large plate. Looked very sparse and rushed. Other than that good service and an enjoyable experience.

Enjoyable as ever. Our guest was a former director at EMI Hotels and Leisure, a catering professional. Your young waitress was charming and very enthusiastic, but not equipped to answer the most basic questions about the cuisine. I was pleased to show her how to use the tire bouchon, to open the wine, but agreed with our guest that this is the responsibility of the manager of the outlet, in his/her briefing to the staff, ahead of service.

Lovely meal, great steak and good service. Really enjoyed the May special rhubarb cocktail.

We were a large group of 16 people and each and every one of us were well looked after by the staff. The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic and we all had a really lovely time.

The duck was overcooked and dry. The carrots were bitter even the waiter who tried them himself confirmed that they were bitter. The fish was a bit on the dry side but tolerable. The only good thing was the calamari for starter.

Good food though I always find the portions small for a man so I always have to order plenty of sides on my main course and need all three courses.

First time at this restaurant met with friendly face on arrival, accommodating on choice of table, helpful friendly service, good quality and well presented food would recommend.

Service poor. Mistake with order. Staff prefee to chat amongst themselves. Annoying banging gate/door in garden which staff use.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night, good menu, food beautifully cooked and presented. A particular mention for our lovely waiter who misheard one of our orders. It was well managed but most especially, our waiter was so sincere with his apology that it improved rather than spoilt the experience. Not something I have experienced elsewhere. So special thanks

Very poor experience. We were really looking forward to a nice breakfast. Waited about 1/2 an hour for drinks to arrive - very week flat white, just tasted of milk, took another 20 minutes to get an orange juice changed to apple which we had originally ordered. We then ordered food, we all ordered croissants and then a cooked breakfast. Another 20-30 minute wait and the cooked breakfasts arrive, the standard of which I was shocked at, dry rubbery scrambled eggs, anemic bacon that had clearly been cooked on mass, watery and flavourless. We then waited another 5 minutes for toast which had been forgotten. No sign of the croissants, so we cancelled them as we had wanted them before the cooked breakfasts. The table next to us seemed to be having a similar experience, such a shame. I have been many times to Cote at various places, and always been impressed. This was a complete departure from my previous experiences and expectations. I will say that the waiter and waitress serving us were lovely and very friendly and polite. There just seemed to be a breakdown of communication on every level of the chain, something was clearly not working properly in the system. I must stress I cannot fault the frendleness of the waiting staff. Dave.

Made to feel very welcome meal lovely as usual it was our server first day and he was very officiant . Our drinks were served quickly and so was our meal which was excellent and of great value . Will certainly return soon

I always have a good meal at Cotes and I have never been to a Cotes where the service has not been exceptional. They always make every effort to ensure you have a good experience.

Excellent food and service in a very pleasant location. We will certainly be visiting again before too long and will recommend this Restaurant to friends and family.
