Great service from the team and we look forward to going back in the near future

Food was very good and tasty. Only criticism would be the service was too fast. Sounds strange, I know, but we like to take our time for dinner and don’t like to rush. Perhaps have your team ask if we are in a rush or not?

Great welcome back! Hi with a smile🙂. Quick service, not waiting long before order was taken. When entering we were asked if we had any dietary needs & sanitizer was available to use. Drinks, I.e. 2 coffees were quickly made & served & our brunch didn't take long to serve. Servers were very happy to be back working & very chatty. One server even remembered that we prefer sweetener in our coffee before we requested it. Brunch was delicious. I had the vegetarian cooked breakfast & husband had the cooked breakfast. Will make this trip a regular event.

Food is nice, customer service is good as usual. Will return.

Great service, with attentive staff. The food was delicious and worth going back for although I would've liked a slightly bigger portion. Menu is well constructed with plenty of options no matter your dietary requirements.

Lovely food as always. Service team felt a bit inexperienced or perhaps over-stretched. And the restaurant felt maybe a bit too full to be COVID-safe?

As always the ambience was lovely, the staff very helpful and polite The food is just absolutely perfectly cooked, always fresh and of a top quality. The measures put in place to deal with covid 19 are excellent and the staff were constantly cleaning which was also very reassuring Overall as always a wonderful evening was had Thank you

It was a real pleasure to have lunch today at Cote Brasserie and taste again the wonderful cuisine in a safe environment without the need for signs, stickers, arrows, 2m spacing everywhere. Your well trained staff carefully ushered us to our table and all were wearing visors.

Great to see Côte up and running again. It’s my family’s favourite restaurant in Reading. Really delicious meal this Tuesday evening and thank you for the complimentary Rhubarb Martini ... 🍸 I’m a huge fan of fries (or potatoes in any form) and although I didn’t have any fries tonight that’s the only thing I would criticise and say that the portion is very small.

Amazing to have Cote Reading back! It has been our favourite haunt for years. We've missed it terribly during the lockdown and now it's open again; Just as reliable, just as pleasant an experience, and wonderful to see so many familiar faces on staff. Thank you!

As always, high quality, not-complicated, very tasty food for a surprisingly good price.

Meal booked for 4 people online in advance. On arrival, we were allocated a lovely booth area and attended to by a friendly and helpful waiter. We cannot fault anything as orders were taken and drinks and food delivered in very good time, there being no sense of being rushed nor having to wait. The food itself was well prepared, the right temperature and delicious. The prices correctly reflect the quality of service and fare. Highly recommended if your target is £30-£40 per head with drinks included.

Compares favourably with any other chain of restaurants. Well presented and prepared food at reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings with good service. Linen napkins a nice touch. Thanks.

We always dine at Cote, the food is excellent, but I particularly like Cote because I am Coeliac and have to eat a very strict gluten free diet. I always feel safe at Cote as they cook the gluten free food separately and always have it marked gluten free when they bring it to your table. We mainly dine at the Reading Cote, but have also dined at Cote in Eton and Bournemouth. They are all excellent.

I have been to Cote Brasserie on a few occasions now and every time the service is lovely and very efficient. The food has always been very nice and the general ambiance is very welcoming

Cote is a lovely restaurant; the food is delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive and the ambiance is calm and relaxing. It is my favourite place to go for steak and it never disappoints!

Good and quick services. I love cote breads. I wish more vegetarian dishes

I really enjoyed my dinner tonight, I had the half roast chicken which was delicious and my partner got given a rump steak by mistake instead of the sirloin, which generously got taken of my bill by the lovely waiter. We also used the deal for a free bottle of wine so had a very reasonable meal. All in all, very good service and lovely food.

We had a lovely meal well presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the meal was provided in good time for us. The only reason for not awarding 6 stars was that our table (for 4 people) was in the middle of the restaurant with restricted room for people to pass on either side. Consequently the chair of one of our party was knocked several times by staff and other customers. I think the centre round tables would be better suited to couples and groups of 4 should be seated at rectangular tables.

We had the set menu which had lots of tasty choices and very good value. Sadly no atmosphere as no other customers in restaurant at 5.00pm.

We arrived at 7.15 for our 7.30 booking and were told they had given our window table away which I had requested months ago. They were really apologetic and gave us a complimentary drink which was nice but I do not understand why they had given our table away in the first place. Food was nice and was very quick service, they did forgot our table water though.

We love coming to Cote Brasserie for breakfast. There is always great service and fantastic food. My kids love the French toast! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, as well as being clean and well decorated, creating a great ambience.

Amazing food provided by excellent staff. We have been dining at Cote for many years and have never had cause to complain about a single thing.

Food was lovely, service was good although a little slow but considering it was Mothers day no more than to be expected. The waiting staff were very good under trying conditions. would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely time.

Poor experience today- booked as a mothers day treat and should have just cooked at home. Had to move tables due to be blasted with cold air. First waitress was rude. 3 of the main courses were cold. We had to keep getting up to get attention to order more drinks and the food was very average. One of the puddings on the mothers day special was not available and it was only 5pm surely if you are putting something on a specials menu on a busy day you make sure you plan the numbers effectively? Generally poor service and totally average food. Very disappointed it's usually a favourite of ours. You may have taken some money of the bill but there certainly wasn't much of an apology.

Myself and two friends came here for lunch today. We always meet up at cote because we live the quality of the food and the atmosphere, both of which were great today. However, today the service was extremely slow, after waiting for 35 mins for our food order to be taken, my friend finally went up to the bar to ask if someone could take our order. This was only after we had observed other customers who had arrived after us having their orders taken. When ordering the puddings, the menus were brought promptly but again we had to ask a member of staff to take order. This is not the level of service we have come to expect over the years we have been coming, so we were a little disappointed today, however we will return and give cote another chance to prove themselves.

Food was excellent as usual and great service but toilets were not great and I don’t agree with automatically adding 12.5% service fee to the bill.

Staff very good, food average, loud when full, disabled toilet a disgrace. Feel rushed and that cote want to turn tables quickly, service charge !

Very welcoming staff who recognised us from a previous visit (and remembered our wine choice!), excellent selection of food to choose from, even for our veggie friend, outstanding service from a professional, friendly team and a delicious meal. We will be back!
