Côte Tunbridge Wells

As usual, a delicious meal with a very attentive (and relatively new) waiter. The only criticism was the rhubarb martini, a bit watery and bland and not worth the money.

A wonderful evening staff were lovely and attentive, COVID practises made for safe dining. Food was amazing along with the lovely Breton cider, as our anniversary the complimentary kir royals rounded off the excellent experience - thank you

Really enjoyed our lunch, just let down by the bill being incorrect and also automatically adding a % service charge doesn't encourage diners to spend money, for this reason we didn' order dessert and waited until we had a coffee later in the afternoon. I know its discretionery but people generally feel uncomfortable asking this to be changed.

A lot of thought had gone into safety and social distancing- this was explained clearly at booking and on arrival to the restaurant. The food was as reliably delicious as ever and the staff kindly decorated my daughters pudding plate in celebration of her exam results!

Food quality and quantity was good. Service was excellent. The restaurant is better with fewer tables.

Food was very good. My wife's steak was a little cold and staff couldn't have been more responsive - replaced her meal without question and with a very pleasant demeanour. So in all a lovely experience, thanks.

Great food, as always. Our Rib-Eyes were lovely. Victor our waiter was excellent despite being new to the job. The manager was also brilliant. Thank-you. The room's seriously noisy though - even without the usual amount of people. Some sound dampening is still needed...;->

The quality of the food and service was excellent. However, we were a bit disappointed at the limited menu at 1.00pm. It was effectively a brunch menu, the full lunchtime menu not being available, so we were told until 2.00pm - which seems a bit odd. By the way, as a minor point, I wish Cote would invest in rather more stylish glasses for beer and lager. The restaurant was rather noisy.

Rude waiter. Limited menu choice, nothing jumped out as sounding delicious. Very expensive wine by the glass. Warm glass for beer and beer not very chilled. Three bits of uncooked potatoes with my Tuna salad. Overall below average and way off my expectations. Won’t rebook

Main course chicken was a tasteless chunk and very disappointing. Starters were OK. My apple tart was a bit sticky. Service was fine. Overall not worth the money, I will not be hurrying back.

Service was poor, chicken main was dry and so was the beef bourguignon. £9 service charge that i asked to be taken off and was charged the whole amount.

As always, another excellent meal. Just a quick Sunday brunch before opening our pub. Food & service both excellent & although there was a light delay, we were kept fully informed. Dog was happy with it's bowl of water too!

Absolute professionals! Lovely service and the food was great as usual. In these uncertain times it's lovely to go somewhere where you feel safe and we all felt safe here. We were guided round the restaurant and given clear instructions and everyone was clearly aware of all the guidelines. We will be back.

A huge disappointment. Booked a table for lunch at 12.30 only to find once we’d sat down that lunch menu wasn’t available until 2pm. Rechecking the a la carte menu on website I can see no reference to timings. The only hint is the brunch menu which gives timings. A complete waste of time - not the way we’d expected to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary.

It was great to be back after six months' absence! We have missed our steak frites and fougasse. All delicious as usual. Thank you so much and see you soon....

I bring my grandchildren to Cote as a treat The food and service is wonderful . My granddaughter is gluten free and the menu doesn’t make her feel like the odd one out So glad you are open again we missed you

Good use of PPE. Felt very safe and good as ever was excellent.

Really enjoyed our lunch on Saturday. Great kids packs. Really thought out. Kept them entertained longer than average. Even let us keep our very well behaved dog under the table while we ate.
