Excellent as always can't fault the food I have been many times and always spot on and an excellent gluten free menu too for my daughter who is ceoliac , best creme caramel ever

This was our second visit to Cotes...came last year on a weekend break away in York...the food is first class and the staff are so attentive. Would definitely recommend booking this restaurant before you travel or you may miss out ...they get booked up very quickly...thankyou once again...we look forward to coming back once again

Very welcoming. Tasty food. The night was only marred by the party of 2 mothers and 4 noisy, unruly andrarely checked boys who came to sit at the next table.

Great little place.had a birthday meal no service and food was lovely would recommend it to anybody.nice and busy on s Monday night that's a good sign.

Excellent restaurant, great food as always. Friendly, attentive service. Very knowledgeable regarding gluten free. One of the best restaurants in York, definitely worth a visit.

We absolutely love this place! We are never disappointed! We had the early evening menu which included sea bass, delicious! The menu is very good, lots to choose from! The service is excellent, nothing is too much trouble! The wine was excellent and desserts gorgeous! We will definitely be back!

Good service, good food although my 9 year old was give the adult menu instead of the child's menu which felt as though they were trying to up sell the adult menu to us! We had to ask for the child menu!

This was our second visit to Cote York. Lots of choice on menu. Service outstanding, food outstanding. Would recommend this restaurant for couples, friends, families. It's a very relaxing place to eat out & you are always given a very warm welcome.

Buzzy atmosphere. Quick and friendly service, food didn't disappoint and ticked all the boxes that a Cote restaurant was expected to meet. Great location too.

Food excellent and menu choices more than adequate although the service was slow at time. This appeared to be due to low number of staff versus customers.

We weren't rushed to order either pre lunch drinks or our food - I must add though that the restaurant at 14:00 on a damp and grey day was not particularly busy. Our waitress was very pleasant, helpful and attentive as is the norm. Our starter, main course and dessert were all very well presented, attractive and tasty - also just the right size and not over filling but extremely tasty. I shall return again, soon.

A regular venue for us. Enjoyed free Kir Royales for my birthday. Plenty of choice even though a couple of items were unavailable. Good service in spite of the restaurant being very busy

Service excellent. Food good to excellent. My slightly overdone steak was replaced without a quibble. Would recommend to anyone. Simple, tasteful, reasonably priced food in genial surroundings

Good food although having to order side dishes separately is annoying. Service a little brisk as the restaurant was quiet. The automatic adding of 12.5 % gratuity is VERY irritating. This might be accepted practice in London but not in Yorkshire .

The food was what we would expect from Cote. A waitress kept trying to pour our wine when we had said we prefer to pour our own.

Great location, excellent staff, fantastic attention to detail. Interesting menu. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a relaxing dining experience. Do try it

WE ARE REGULARS AT COTE BRASSERIE AND ENJOY THE VERY GOOD SERVICE AND DELICIOUS FOOD AND VISITED TWICE IN APRIL 2017 AND 5 TIMES IN 2016

Good quality Brasserie style food in a nice location with attentive and helpful staff. York is devoid of decent restaurants in my opinion - in may be part of a chain but it is a good one !

We had a delicious meal the sea bream was cooked to perfection and the chocolate fondant dessert was delicious . All served by very friendly and efficient staff.

Good food and great service. Would definitely recommend to others. I had the calamari which was delicious followed by a very nice chicken salad. Nearly forgot the profiteroles- wowee scrumptious!

We received a very warm welcome even though the restaurant was full our table was ready. Unfortunately there were not enough staff to cope with the volume and we had to wait about 15 minutes for us to ask for a drink. Despite there only being waitresses and 2 Managers they coped very well. The food was up to it's usual high standard and generally it was a very good evening. A lovely friendly waitress made up for the initial slow service.

Enjoyed our reward of a free bottle of wine, which was very nice wine. Varied menu and enjoy the specials on offer. Efficient service and food presented beautifully.

Best place to eat in York. Excellent menu food beautifully prepared and served .Staff always look after you from entering the restaurant until leaving. Just go and see for yourself.

Beautiful surroundings and a very special breakfast, very good service particularly good value with voucher. Loved the hollandaise sauce and salmon on muffin with poached egg.

We have eaten at and enjoyed Cote restaurants in several towns and cities. This visit was up to the usual high standard. One temporary disappointment was that we were told by very apologetic staff that our favourite sweet, profiteroles French style, with ice-cream in them instead of cream, was sold out, so we had to choose another. However we were told that they would be back on the menu the next day. We decided to call in just for the sweet and coffee for a lunch-time treat. We were warmly greeted, presented with our delicious profiteroles, and then only charged for the coffee. Magnificent service! A disappointment more than adequately compensated for! We shall be back at Cote as soon as possible.

Chicken not cooked properly they did change this and not charged for meal This is the first time this has happened l have been on other occasions and it has been perfect

I have been to a couple of Cote and this one had exceptionally good staff. The food was very tasty, the wine was awesome, everything was spot on.
