Côte York

The staff were attentive, gave great service with a smile. The food was delicious and sensible portion sizes so that I could enjoy three courses without feeling over full. A very enjoyable meal. Thank you.

Consistently good food and service - never fails to impress. The set menu is exceptionally good value as is the breakfast. Service is always friendly and efficient.

Perfect location in central York, lovely atmosphere and we were given a choice of tables which was great. Food cooked to perfection, just slightly too much salt in the calamari, otherwise no complaints from any of our party.

Our party of 3 had a very pleasant evening, very attentive staff and food very good value. For a Tuesday evening towards the end of June on what turned out to be a rather miserable evening weather-wise the restaurant was surprisingly busy for the 2.5 hours we were there.

Very good experience at Cote Brasserie in York, the service was very attentive and the food was very tasty. The only minor criticism I would have was that the portion of Calamari was too large.

York cote is simply great. Go! Especially before 7pm Monday to Friday when the top value menu is available. It is a good menu and great value

Really good food with a great Vegetarian selection, make sure you ask for the vegetarian menu. Great service and a nice atmosphere. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

Excellent food and good ambience. We enjoyed our free glass of Kir - a birthday treat! We will definitely go again. Une bonne soirée, merci!

The service as always was good here. Two minor points - the green beans (again!) were poor quality and badly cooked, and the chocolate mousse was certainly not made from 'dark chocolate' and not similar to our previous experiences. Looking forward to the Leeds unit opening

A birthday lunch for 6 "oldies", a welcoming glass of bubbly, then steaks for the men, regarded as being perfect & delightful salads for the less hungry. Al served in an efficient, but very friendly way. Thank you!

This was my first visit​ and I was very impressed with the ambience, the quality of the food and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Everyone in the group agreed it had been a very enjoyable experience. The only minus was the automatic adding of 12.5% service charge to the bill but you don't have to pay it. I

Service was slick and professional , all the staff were extremely pleasant. The food was of the same high standard as in every Côte, and we have eaten in a few!

Their £9.95 breakfast deal is great value for money; fantastic full English with a big glass of fresh juice and a pot of tea. The staff were lovely and there was no pressure to leave quickly once we'd finished. The perfect start to the day - highly recommended.

The food was fantastic - far better than expected. I can recommend the duck with cherry sauce. The service was good and attentive. We had received a voucher for kir royale for my birthday but did have to ask for this - luckily, I had printed out the e mail and then we were charged for one of them!

The overall standard of service and quality of the food is consistently high. We appreciate the efficient and friendly staff. The surroundings are relaxed and comfortable and are maintained to a good standard. Excellent value for money compared with other restaurants in York.

I love the food choices and the Kir Royale. Waiter needed to pay more attention tho, rather than distractedly looking through us / over our heads.

This restaurant is really top quality with excellent service and food. The other thing that sets the Cote apart form its competitors it the fantastic atmosphere. Outstanding value is to be had with the afternoon and evening set menu. Highly recommended.

Lovely food (as always), very friendly and attentive staff, and delicious free Kir Royal's for my Birthday! This is a great place for a set menu or for something a la carte. I can definitely recommend the Veal Escalope. Thank you! We'll definitely be back!

We had the two course set menu. Tasty, well presented food.; I especially enjoyed the mackerel rillette. Good attentive service and quick as requested as we were off to the theatre!

Had dinner while visiting York with relatives. Excellent food, excellent service, noisy and a bit low on ambiance . Food was served promptly and hot

Excellent service. Loved asparagus and never had a better chocolate mousse. However salad had far too much lettuce and not 100% sure totally veggie. Also should have been able to get veggie option on short cheaper menu.

Excellent food delivered to our table by courteous waiters - the last one a riot !! A little noisy - too many hard surfaces but a thoroughly enjoyable evening with outstanding cuisine shared with entertaining company - we'll definitely return. Thank you to all at Cotes !!

Very welcoming. Tasty food. The night was only marred by the party of 2 mothers and 4 noisy, unruly andrarely checked boys who came to sit at the next table.

The whole breakfast experience was wonderful. Our smiling waiter,beautifully cooked breakfast, good coffee. The breakfast menu was interesting with healthy options if required. The restaurant was light and airy a pleasant atmosphere to dine in.

Food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Staff were welcoming and friendly, not overly attentive so you could enjoy your meal in peace.

This was our second visit to Cotes...came last year on a weekend break away in York...the food is first class and the staff are so attentive. Would definitely recommend booking this restaurant before you travel or you may miss out ...they get booked up very quickly...thankyou once again...we look forward to coming back once again
