The service was slow and one dish was off the menu. Three loud singings of "happy birthday" were annoying. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Whilst the service was good when we got it, at times it was quite slow due to what appeared to be too few table serving staff! They were excellent when they served you but it did take them some time to get to you. Food was great once ordered.

For the first time we have been going to cote the service was not up to its best . we had to wait a long time for our drinks , my thoughs were there were a lot less staff than we see other times. I hope that will keep the very high service that you have from the start. thanks clive mobey

Excellent service. Light airy decor. Food was freshly prepared with particular attention to the fact that I required a gluten-free dish. The only negative point is that 12.5% service is automatically added to the bill; I believe service should the prerogative of the customer. We decided to remove the 12.5% and added our own gratuity.

This place never fails for service, quality and choice of menu. 2 and 3 course menus especially good value and weekend specials and monthly change of menu means you never get bored if you eat here often.

ace as always even though you can't get the deal on Saturday night. I have visited 42 branches of Cote and this is my favourite - would be good to see Macon Villages back on the wine list though

Most of the main menu was not available, so we asked for a starter off if the set menu and they refused to make it for us even tho they had the ingredients in the restaurant

Food excellent but the service was a little bit slow. We were told when ordering that it would be about 20 minutes for our meals as we were only ordering main courses but it seemed to be longer.

We did complain after the meal that the chicken breast was a little dry. Our waiter took this very seriously and soon after the manager approached us, listened to our concerns, apologised and offered us a dessert and coffee as a gesture of goodwill. We appreciated the sensitive and accommodating manner in which both our waiter and the manager handled our complaint, hence the dry chicken would not discourage us from returning to a restaurant that we have always enjoyed in the past.

This was the first time we had visited this restaurant. It was a nice building with good service and good food. Nearby there were a large number of good shops.

Excellent - from being greeted, allowed to take time over ordering food. And, of course, the food was brilliant. We enjoyed it all. Thank you.

Genuine French style cuisine. Set menu very good value for money. Service was exceptional with special thanks to the attentive waiter who seated us and took our order which came very quickly. Nu Nu our second waiter offered to immediately relate my friends meal when she mentioned it was warm rather than hot. She refused but it was done in such a polite and sincere way, very rare these days. We had sea bass and poulais, delicious , especially with a side order of new potatoes and green beans. Exceptional Crewe caramel and delicious chocolate pot. Book ahead to avoid disappointment as it can get busy.

The food was great and the Pinot Noir that we ordered with it was very very nice. I had the calamari for starters and the squid was not rubbery and tasted good. The Pork Belly was excellent too. Don't expect this place to be cheap, but its so worth it.

Stupendously mediocre in all respects. Expensive bottle of wine tasted like cheap plonk. Service was adequate, but often difficult to get hold of a waiter.

The food and wine was amazing. My only criticism was it was so loud we could not hear each other and the tables are really too close together.

Good food at a good price. Polite friendly staff. We always like the steak frites. The toilets are downstairs so I'm glad there is a disabled one upstairs. We enjoy it there and didn't score 6 as unfortunately the beer glass was warm

Another very enjoyable meal at Côte in Brighton. Greeted in a friendly and prompt fashion. Drinks served quickly. And of course very nice food. A couple of people had told me they had been disappointed recently with Cote in Brighton, but we had a very nice meal.

10th Anniversary menu was great, especially the dessert Grand Marnier crepe. Very good atmosphere. Lovely staff, but there were a few things they omitted to bring and had to be reminded eg cutlery. Overall a memorable experience.

A very good ambience, with a nice space and lots of chatter and laughter without being noisy. The staff are attentive but never pushy. All in all, we had a most agreeable lunch. The menu was just right for a brasserie, with everyone being able to find something they liked.

The food is excellent and cooked to perfection. My fillet steak was spot on, as were the veg and fries. The ambience of Cote is very relaxing and just right. The service is also very good, as is the decor. All in all a good experience.

Had the fixed price early meal (for theatre). Calamari followed by butternut squash risotto. Deeeeeelish. Any more and I would have been unconfortable in theatre - any less & I would have been hungry.
