Lovely local Italian, food is great, as is the service.

We have visited this establishment on many occasions previously but last night the experience was sadly lacking. Of the three of us one of the mains was served but the other two we had to ask for. Staff didn’t seem to understand when dining as a group you’d expect to be served at the same time. When the other meals arrived the chicken escalopes were badly overcooked. They were returned to the kitchen and replaced. By that time the first meal served was cold. The second serving of the chicken was not so badly overcooked but still too dry to enjoy. We were advised had to be cooked that way to ensure the chicken was properly cooked through. We did question the method of cooking and were told,deep fried. We did say we thought they should have been shallow fried to ensure properly cooked without over cooking We were offered either a complimentary lemoncello or discount from the bill. We accepted to drink but will think twice before another visit, which is a shame as it’s a very convenient venue for us
