Wine Vaults - Greenwich

It’s always a pleasure to eat at Davys Greenwich fine food in historic surroundings

Haven't visited for many years and I do mean many years. Initially slightly disappointed that the vaults didn't seem much like vaults any more - quite brightly lit and not as cosy as I remember. However the food was very good, the staff were lovely and the wine and after dinner drinks were simply fabulous. Kitchen seemed a little slow though. All in all worth another visit.

all of it was just meh. Go to a proper restaurant instead.

We used to go to Davy's all the time but on Sunday, I booked us a table at 14:30 for a roast dinner. No one came to take out food order for 30minutes and only then did they tell us most of the roasts were gone and there was only beef and vegetarian which we ordered. We were then told there was only vege so we ordered that. then we were told all the roasts were finished. We were offered the evening menu-another 40 minutes went by and no food still. Our food was on the house which was really nice of them but overall so disappointing as we always loved going there.

Great atmosphere, staff superb and excellent food food's We will visit again and highly recommend. It's old worldly, humming with good atmosphere and a great ambience

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and the staff were really friendly. The cheese and bacon burger was huge and the king prawn linguine was very tasty

Enjoyed the meal, but disappointed Sunday roasts ran out earlier. It was why we went. Excellent choice of wines. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Really good value for money.

Brilliant venue. Great service. Good choice of food. We eat and drink here regularly. Nice outdoor space. Shame that you can’t sit outside without being surrounded by smokers.

Lovely place. Plenty of outdoor seating on a beautiful day. Efficient waiting staff. Good varied menu, including the Sunday roast. Plenty of wines by the glass. Overall, a little pricey.

Service impeccable, food excellent, but salad, that came as part of main course, was extremely small. It was more like a garnish which was disappointing.

Teatime meal for three from the set menu. Good food and a great selection of wines. Our experience was enhanced by the lovely waitress, whose excellence belied the fact that it was only her second day on the job!

The site and interior is delightful, the service was wonderfully friendly including help on the wine selection. Sadly the food was mediocre especially the crab cakes and over-steamed vegetables. Next time a better menu choice is in order.

Love this place, we will keep going back! The steaks are so delicious and the service always friendly. Naturally, wine selection is superb!
