De Laban

Very rude staff, told us when we arrived that we had to be out the restaurant in an hour and a half which made us feel very uncomfortable considering they took an hour to bring the food out and 20 minutes to come and take the order before leaving us 10 minutes to eat, they came and started clearing the table whilst still eating just so they could get us out quicker! Very rude slamming plates on table ect and food was not the best, definitely will not go there again wish I read the reviews first as I was completely embarrassed in front of my family as it was me who booked and chose the place. Awful experience such a shame

There seems to be some confusion over the reservations on line Having said that the food was great as ever even if it was very busy

It is not the first time that I have eaten here. Food is consistently good and waiters are all attentive. Food arrives promptly and restaurant is extremely nice. There is always a pleasant atmosphere here and I would recommend this restaurant.

Our table was ready for us when we arrived. The restaurant was very busy. The food was delicious. The only gripe I have is that we had to wait almost an hour for our main course because it was so busy and people were also coming in for takeaways which appeared to take priority.

Lovely food and quick service A* Lovely atmosphere and we like that you can bring your own drinks...always busy so best to book on here.

I keep introducing different friends to this little Gem and they all keep coming back. We eat here often now and De Laban has not failed us once. Good food at sensible prices

It was my birthday meal with friends . They didn’t disappoint us the food was great and always is . I go every 6 weeks or so with friends and service and food are top notch .

Fantastic restaurants and a fantastic meal. Had heard great things about this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Great to be able to take your own drinks as well. We will be back!

tasty reasonably priced food in friendly comfortable atmosphere - plenty of choice on the menu with very helpful advice from the waiters - alcoholic drinks easily available at the off-licence next door

This was my third visit and just like the previous two the food and service were excellent Prices are reasonable and there is plenty of choice on the menu.

Went to De Laban tonight and although the restaurant was incredibly busy our party of six enjoyed some great food and service from the staff.

Food was excellent and great value for money. Very attentive and friendly staff. Our online request for a corner table was met. Overall we had a fantastic evening and would definitely recommend. We took our own drink and was provided with bottle opener, ice bucket, champagne glasses, ice etc. Staff were excellent.

Food and service was good but we were only allowed our table for 90mins due to people waiting. This would have been exceptable had we know this when we sat down (or booked) but it spoiled our (group of 6 ladies) evening. Won't go there again.

The service was very attentive. We had poppadoms and 3 great dips on arrival. Our starters were the lamb chops and the prawns, both of which were very tasty. My partner had a lamb handi for his main which he said was lovely. I had a chicken sizzler type dish (can't remember the name) but it had a great mix of chicken strips and succulent vegetables in a very tasty marinade. The ambience in here is always very relaxing and we love the decor. As you can BYO drink, it works out as an inexpensive meal out compared to other restaurants. Highly recommended.

We went yesterday (Friday), when we arrived the restaurant was quiet however within 30 minutes it was full and people were waiting for tables. The food was very good. We felt under pressure to leave once we'd finished our meal. We were only there for 50 minutes. Normally when we go out to eat we sit and chat afterwards, have a glass of wine or two, spend at least 90 minutes in a restaurant. We found this rather disappointing.

First visit to this restaurant. Excellent service, staff very accommodating and wonderful food, good menus choice too. Definitely go there again and recommend to friends.

Really impressed with this place, the service was first class, the food was really good and the overall environment was excellent.... I will be returning :-)
