Great food again. We visit twice a year when on holiday in Perranporth and we have never had a bad meal. Thanks again see you next year.

Started really well until a noisy group sat next to us!! Not usually something to moan about but the restaurant was virtually empty. Conversation was impossible without lip reading! Food was good thankfully x

Good food, freshly prepared, lively banter from the wait staff. A little undermanned for the amount of bookings and take away service, so a bit of a wait, but worth it!

After wanting to try this Italian for a while we had a friend down from London and tried it. The guy at the bar who sat us down was amazing. Food was ok, not as good as pierros Truro. One bit of advice to the Moody waitress/owner smike it may never happen. sorriso, sorridere!. Would we eat here again. No.

Food great. Service left alot to be desired by one 'Senior' waitress/manageress who was very rude to us. Ruined our experience and detracted from the excellent food.

The Manager was rude and aggressive from the moment we arrived, the food was good and the waitress was friendly and helpful but the manager was just rude and couldn’t take criticism.

The food here is delicious however the staff are rude. Although we booked one of the 5 adults/teenagers was just on the end of the 4 table we were given. Apart from one lady the staff were not at all apologetic and were honestly rude when we explained how unhappy we were with the seating. We also had an issue with swapping an ingredient in a meal for an autistic teenager which the chef did agree to no problem but again waiting staff were rude. If you are happy with no star service but 5 star food you will be fine!!

Food was wonderful, however service was really what tainted our experience. Spent 2 1/2 hours at this restaurant before even receiving our food. Every time the servers came to our table, they told us we “came at the wrong time” (it was a Saturday night at 7:30pm? What would’ve been a better time for them?) and how busy it was, and that they themselves were having to make pizzas in the back and that’s why service was so slow tonight. They kept shaking their heads to us saying it was just so crazy in the kitchen right now and they were drowning. Strangely, we were seated outside and when we went in to use the toilets, half the tables were unoccupied so I’m not sure? I understand it can get busy in a restaurant, or maybe that they were short staffed that night, but telling us as customers this and showing how out of control things were made us feel uneasy and apologetic for choosing their restaurant. Luckily the food was worth the wait and well-done.

Been visiting Perranporth for nearly 25 years and never have we eaten here. We’ve certainly been missing out on lovely home made and fresh real Italian food with lovely staff. Our 5 year old ate a whole adult sized pizza and me and the ol man had a really fresh tasty seafood linguini, the house white wine was really nice too.

Staff not very friendly. Very busy greeting wasn’t that of a professional restaurant. Food was average and slow service

3 out of 4 meals were good. One of our party chose tagliatelle, prawns and broccoli dish . It came with 1 prawn and she was told they had run out of small ones so was given a king prawn , which it was not ! £12 was extortionate. Staff attitude about this was not good.

We come to Cornwall once a year and always come to del mar, foods amazing and a warm welcome, fair price for good food , would recommend you visit !!!

Arrived at 19:30 for our meal, and had a lovely warm welcome. We were made to feel right at home even though they we’re understaffed for the evening. Don’t let the understaffed comment take away from how wonderful this little Italian restaurant truly is. The food look superb and taste a even better. 10/10 would eat here again and would also recommend it to anyone over Frankie & Benny’s. the best place in Cornwall for truly authentic Italian food.

As usual a brilliant New Year meal. Food, service, staff, all excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Music was good too. Always feel welcome when we go to the Del Mar.

Food lovely & service excellent, however, tables were really close together, and when a party of extremely noisy, rather sweary people were seated right next to us the evening was spoiled and we left without wanting to bother with coffee or dessert.

The restaurant was quiet which you would expect on a dreary Thursday night in December the staff however were very friendly and the food was very good. We come to Cornwall every winter from Yorkshire and we will definitely come back

The food was excellent but the service was appalling, swiped my sons meal from front of him because he sat back in his chair!!! No question of ‘are you finished?’ Which he wasn’t!! Questioned over putting my own vodka in my drink as I’d ordered a plain lemonade, which was actually to add to the bottle of £28 wine I’d ordered! And reached over to clear a friends plate from the side of me while people including myself was still eating. Very rude and no apology when complained. But as said at the start the food was delicious.

The tables were crammed in together, I felt like we got shuved in a back room, where it was very hot we might as well have shared a table with the next door as we were that close. The staff were abrupt. We felt like they wanted to get rid of us, even though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. I’d booked the table about 2 months prior as it was for a special occasion. I popped into the evening before the booking to confirm everything was ok and the table was booked for a special occasion, the staff weren’t interested. The food was nice, nothing special. Don’t think I’d go back here again. I feel the staff wouldn’t be bothered if we didn’t return.

The waitress was incredibly rude and for no apparent reason. Because of this, we left before even ordering our food. The service given spoilt what otherwise promised to be a great meal. I will not be eating here in the future.

Been here a few times over the years, Absolutely LOVE the food, lobster cannelloni starter was to die for! Fab friendly service, couldn’t ask for better 😋👍🏻Deffo recommend.
