Dolce Italia

We shared a Seafood Platter and enjoyed Sea Bass fillets for a main course. That was more than enough for us both. So we skipped dessert. Abeautifully prepared, delicious dinner.

we went there for a valentines meal ,the food was Great and good sized portions.The staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant was a nice size, not too big and not too small. We will be going back again.

We had lunch at Dolce Italia: 2 mussels and 1 calamari to start. The mussels in their shells were the best and largest we'd tasted for a long time + a delicious tomato sauce. Very generous portion of calamari with dip, almost wished we'd stopped at the starters. Thankfully we didn't as I would have missed a treat: sea bass in a garlic tomato sauce with crunchy big chips. The pizza was given the thumbs up as it had a thick outside edge surrounding the filling of ham, cheese, artichokes nestling in the bottom. The chicken in mushroom sauce was well cooked and presented so again the thumbs up. Good service, a table by the window - perfect. Being a Thursday and we'd booked for an early lunch we were eating on our own but that didn't detract from a enjoyable lunch. This is our second visit and we're not disappointed.

Excellent menu with a wide variety of choice - though a couple of items (drink and one kind of pasta) we had ordered turned out not to be available. The food we ordered was hot and delicious, the service attentive but not intrusive - all at a reasonable price in good surroundings. Will certainly return.

The food was amazing and the service was very good with friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. (Toilets were nice too! Highly recommend this place, will definitely be going back 😊

Lovely venue, would be great for a birthday or group occasion. The food was very good and generous portions so I would say it was good value. Parking may be the only issue as there are limited spaces surrounding the building. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and will be returning.

Great food with friendly, attentive service in a welcoming space, Dolce Italia is an obvious venue if you live in Backwell and a must if you live further afield.

Friday evening meal. Understaffed! - One excellent waitress operating at breakneck speed was unable to impact the long-waiting time. The food was acceptable, but nothing special.

Excellent Food. Great selection available. Will need to go back to try more. Steak to medium was perfectly done which I'm glad of as I tend to send it back if it's over. Would highly recommend trying this hidden gem.

Although we had booked on line there was not a table reserved for us when we arrived and it was not entered in the book either, but they found us a table so it was OK but not sure whether booking on line is the best way! Saturday evening they were very busy, although we enjoyed the food we had a 40 minute wait between our main course and dessert. The chairs are quite hard when sitting for two hours. All the staff worked really hard so I feel a bit mean criticizing and the meal was good.

Good food - starter really nice and would go there again! Good service, very clean and nice surroundings. Easy to park too, on road nearby.

Excellent authentic Italian food! Great portion sizes- and value for money. A hidden gem we've been back twice in a month- well worth a visit

The food is really excellent here and you get good value. It's not your typical 'Italian' atmosphere but the service is good and they have a top chef

A very friendly welcome with a clean well decorated restaurant. We had generous portions, in fact my wife and myself could not finish our main course.

Great food; great service! An unhurried anniversary lunch with Pavarotti & co singing in the background and Backwell life slipping by outside. We will return another day.

All the dishes were absolutely delicious. My steak was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly and we were able to chat with the family. Very friendly. A great evening!

Very friendly service, nice atmosphere. Food was superb, couldn't fault it in any way. All came out very quickly. Reasonably priced, good value for money. Only one criticism would be that the drinks were a little expensive as they were, in my opinion, pint prices for half pints. Apart from that, would certainly recommend.

wonderful food and great service - the steak is really nice and to be recommended. this is a superb place to eat well done. will visit again.
