Thinking about making a Dosa Butler booking?

When having Indian cuisine, the curry tends to be the star of the show. Often overlooked is the humble dosa. A savoury fermented crepe made from a batter of rice and lentils, the dosa is usually filled with potatoes, onions, vegetables or paneer, an Indian cottage cheese. At Smethwick’s Dosa Butler on Three Shire Oaks Road, close to the corner of Bearwood Road, guests can sample dosas with their choice of filling, as well as try out the uttapam, a thicker, pancake-like version of the dosa. Unsure of what to order? Ask your friendly server for a suggestion.

Dosa Butler provides plenty of other excellent Indian dishes in addition to dosas, all utilising the very freshest ingredients and highest-quality imported products. For something out of the ordinary, be sure to order the lamb coconut fry, a dish cooked with fresh coconut, curry leaves and onion. Spice lovers are encouraged to order the kadai chicken – chicken cooked with capsicum, chillies and coriander – or the flavourful chilli prawn rice. The sweets are something to write home about, too, and we recommend the carrot halva for a unique dessert unlike anything you’ve tried before. Located on Smethwick’s Three Shire Oaks Road in Bearwood, Dosa Butler is worth driving from Birmingham to visit – but reserve in advance to avoid missing out.
