We had a long wait, 40 minutes for the food to arrive, I asked if the speaker just behind my head could be switched off. As we were the only people in I did not think this was unreasonable. The waitress went away to find out but did not come back and the music remained which made talking with my elderly father difficult. I paid the bill on cash £40 which I handed over at the bar to pay our bill which came to £38.40. I was not given any change. I would probably have said keep the change but it was not offered. The meal was OK and we enjoyed what we had but was disappointed with the rest. The pub was also quite cold.

Varied menu Good quality food, cooked to order and served very hot. Monday very quiet but weekends and later in the week booking is recommended.

The new menu offers some of the most flavoursome food we have had for a long time and is well priced. Food and drink service was excellent.

The menu is great and it changes regularly, normally on a seasonal basis. The staff are welcoming and nicely attentive. We have eaten there six times now and have never been disappointed. The prices are sensible so not to expensive to eat out.

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch but found it disappointing that there was no price reduction on 'small' portions for our elderly parents (83yrs old) .

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Due to some dietary restrictions, there was nothing on the Sunday lunch menu that I could have. Without any difficulty or fuss the chef cooked a separate meal for me which was delicious. I now know that if I go back another time, I can let them know in advance so arrangements can be made to meet my dietary requirements.

A very pleasant lunch. Food was very tasty and good portions. Sunday lunch was 1, 2 or 3 course, would advise to book as quite a few people came in but they couldn't accommodate them for a while. Would return, weekday evening and lunch menu looked very good too.

The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly, attentive & engaging! My only slight gripe is that the disinfectant they use in the lavatories is too strong smelling. When eating i got the odd whiff of it, which spoiled things a little. Next time I will sit further away from the loos, if poss. Yes, Its worth going back. Hope they sort that out.

Second visit to D of Y after experiencing a superb meal first time a few weeks ago. This time a little disappointing. My wife and I both had slow cooked lamb shoulder which was OK as far as I was concerned, but my wife said it was not as nice as when she had it before. First time it was very tender, pulled lamb shoulder, second time just slices, not as nice. Didn't say anything at the time as the place was quite busy and to be fair the meal overall wasn't too bad, just a disappointment with the presentation and quality of the lamb.
