Stylish, sophisticated and boasting a menu of refined Indian cuisine as well as British staples, East Restaurant is the go-to place for a curry in Pudsey. With its contemporary decor, East Restaurant provides the perfect backdrop for a special meal out, whether it’s for lunch or dinner. Chow down on some lamb chops or chicken tikka before tucking into a curry. You’ll find everything from kahari to korma on the menu, meaning there’s something to suit all tastes. Located on Richardshaw Lane, East Restaurant draws in crowds of curry lovers from all over. Book ahead to avoid missing out!
Not far at all from Pudsey train station, East Restaurant is where contemporary Indian dining meets cocktails and rooftop terrace drinks. Yep, on Richardshaw Lane, East Restaurant goes way, way beyond what the people of the UK have become too used to when it comes to Indian dining out. From the award-winning menu – made up not just of traditional curry options but of East’s own creations as well – to the stylish, easy-to-feel-comfortable decor of the restaurant itself, this is one of the best places to enjoy Indian food in Leeds. Quite the statement, we know, but 10 minutes in here and you’ll find yourself agreeing with us.
Some of our favourite dishes from the main menu here in Pudsey include the papa sea bass marinated in a masala sauce with cumin, fenugreek, ginger and a twist of lime, then grilled and served with fresh salad, new potatoes and papa sauce, as well as the curious lamb monty, a spicy dish with fillet of lamb, potatoes, spinach and Indian cheese. Next to these, as we said, you’ll find the curry house classics that are so well-loved up and down the UK, certainly in Leeds and without question in Pudsey, too. Treat yourself and reserve a table way ahead of time – East Restaurant is popular.
This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants. The food is absolutely excellent and there is a lovely atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and polite and make you feel very welcome.
Really enjoyed our first visit , thursday evening 8am , welcomed at the door , instant seating , fast smiley service , good fresh food and sensible prices ....... the piano player was just across from us , playing recognisable tunes , at just the right volume ..... didn`t intrude on our meal and conversation but added to the experience .... not an easy feat to pull off in my experience having had too many meals ruined by stadium tannoy volume cruddy music or pianists who thought they were the reason we were in the resturant . Looking forward to going again , thankyou .
This is one of the best Indian restaurants around. The food is excellent, there is a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. It was busy last night but we weren't kept waiting. Highly recommended.
