Efes Restaurant

Staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the meat cooked to perfection! They even brought a fruit platter complimentary at the end. We felt very welcomed and looked after. My only negative was there were only 3 lamb chops on my plate and the tabbouleh wasn relatively small, I assumed there would of been at least 4. Nonetheless I still recommend going!

Superbly authentic Turkish food, everything was delicious! I particularly enjoyed the mixed cold meze. The staff were delightful, the food was cooked before our eyes, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was completely authentic too. We will definitely be back!

Very friendly staff. Christmas Decor of restaurant was a bit too much. Meat was a bit bland and under seasoned. Small portions but cooked well. Hadn’t been for many years but it wasn’t as I remember it

went on a wowcher deal - 8 plates of meze and a bottle of prosecco for £24, for 2 diners unfortunately, the portions were on the small side, especially for my weight-training friend The service was good, with the meal arriving within minutes (before even my friend arrived!)

Visited here for the 1st time with my family, don't think we will be visiting again, service was ok, but food was rushed, had our starters, plates were taken straight away after eating by one server, whilst another server was giving us our main course. Not a good experience and food was pretty unmemorable with chewy meat.

Restaurant is lovely with good food and service. The staff are attentive and friendly and food came promptly. Chicken shish is cooked perfectly, dips are excellent, bread is really fresh, and salmon and lamb casserole was also very good. Recommended!

Food was really tasty, fresh and full of spaces, delicious . I couldn't fault the service too. What let it down big time for me was entertiment, there was only one belly dancer who I saw literally for 1 minute during the whole evening as my table was near the entrance to the restaurant and had no vosibility of the stage. Also the music was night club laud which when you eat dinner makes it impossible to talk. I would go back but for take away only.

The personnel was so friendly and helpful. Very classy and clean restaurant. The management looks like to be taking care of absolutely of everything . Chairs, tables, serving sets, toilets and sinks. All in perfect condition. We had great time and food with my girlfriend.

This restaurant was absolutely awful. There was a large group of incredibly noisy diners, and the staff did nothing to quieten them down or even ask them to stop using foul language. The waiter was extremely inattentive. He got my drink wrong when asking for no ice, and the "Efes Draft" beer they sell is not indeed a draft - it actually comes in a bottle and is named "Efes Draft" - incredibly misleading, especially if you fancy a hand-pulled pint after a stressful day at work. The appetizers were another story. The smoked salmon with crushed potatoes had nothing of the sort - no crushed potatoes to be seen anywhere in sight. The main dishes took about an hour to arrive, which was shocking as the restaurant was only half-full. The staff had nearly no knowledge of the menu and had to have a cocktail actually pointed out on the menu before they knew which one I was referring to. I did use the correct, full name of the cocktail, and English is my first language so I was not incorrectly pronouncing it. When it came to ordering the bill, it took quite a while for someone to return with it and as I passed my card to him in return, he ignored it and went away again. Upon signaling another waiter to come over, which took a good few minutes to achieve, a card machine was immediately brought over from the desk - hence this could have been an incredibly simple, quick process if the waiter had not ignored my card in front of his face as he gave the bill to me. The 7% service charge they add is annoying, as I did not want to tip them at all for the horrible service we received and am disappointed that this restaurant feels they deserve a tip regardless. The service was bad, the food was slow, our orders turned up wrong and the payment of the bill was tiresome and inefficient. Never, EVER going back there again and would NEVER recommend it to anyone.

The service and food (especially the mixed grill) were absolutely lovely. We would definitely visit again, but ask not to be seated too close to the door!! :)
