My first evening visit. The food was very good. Person in charge very offhand. I was not asked if I wanted a drink while I waited for friends. I asked her 3 times for water for table. Waitress eventually brought jug but no ice. It was not clear when booking that there would be live music. For us friends meeting after a long time it was intrusive and loud and I didn't think singer was particularly good.

I asked for a tap water twice but never received it. My burger bun tasted burnt and actually snapped in half upon picking it up due to it being more like toast. I thought it was pointless sending it back to the kitchen because of the drink situation. The entertainment wasn't great either as she was playing songs she didn't know the words too and the level of noise was far too loud so my table couldn't hold a proper conversation. This was the first time I had come for dinner and I don't think I'll have it again. I've been for breakfast before and have no complaints with that

Good amazing we had breakfast, I had pancakes my other half had smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs & smoked salmon, it was his first time and my 3rd time. Staff were friendly, helpful & genuinely lovely.

Our first visit to Elena’s Bistro last night and what a refreshing change for Braintree. Great food and atmosphere with live entertainment that was not overpowering allowing conversations to continue. Were were also amazed at size of food portions - very good value

The main menu was brill a good selection and the burger was massive, but asked for the deserts menu which was very disappointing only 5 things to choose from but loads of coffee on there, needless to say we never had dessert

From start to finish the service was brilliant. I booked a table as a surprise dinner for my best friend’s birthday. The lovely blonde haired waitress (so sorry, I didn’t get her name) was so friendly, and patient with our group (we were a bit indecisive!) she made suggestions on what was good (the cheesecake was indeed ‘banging’), answered our numerous questions on the menu and she did it all with a smile. The owner/manager was also extremely friendly and helped with anything we asked. The food and drink was fantastic, so tasty and we didn’t have to wait long for it to be prepared and served. I had the chicken burger and it was genuinely one of the best chicken burgers I’ve ever had, and the fact that we could swap normal chips for curly fries made everyone happy. The whole group was happy (even the nearly 13 year old!). Overall it was a brilliant night and I will definitely be back, as will a few of our group. Thank you!

Beautiful restaurant. Lovely food. Lady waitress was very smiley and friendly and helpful. Food was beautifully presented and tasty. Young Male waiter needed to crack a smile, which would have made us feel more welcome. But the lady more than made up for him.

First visit. Very impressed with the decor. Food excellant Manager and staff very friendly and helpful. One criticism the music, too loud. Soft background music needed when out for a meal as a couple or with friends and what to chat. Will definately visit again.
