You’d be surprised at the concentration of Indian restaurants on Portsmouth’s Hayling Island, but trust us when we say that few are worth visiting more than Elm Massalla. You’ll find this little beauty on Elm Grove and it makes for a delicious and relaxing evening out. Of course you’ll find all the usual suspects in terms of curry house classics loved up and down the UK, but Elm Massalla also comes in hot (and mild) with plenty of house specialities that you may not have tried before. Think chom chom chicken, Bengali chilli chicken and Panch Michali. Throw in some exciting vegetarian options and it’s easy to see why this is one of the best Indian restaurants on Hayling Island.

Get a table before they're gone
Lots of curry houses when they offer popadoms at the start it is complementary and don't expect to have to pay.. we were charged £5.25 for 4 popadoms and the sauces that came with them which we barely touched. Wish they would have been transparent and say its either free or counts as a starter, least you know where you can stand and make an informed decision to have them.
The food was excellent and all the staff were very efficient as per usual.
Very good curry and service And they take Meerkat 50% discount free parking I would go back
