London’s first restaurant featuring Uyghur cuisine from the Chinese Xinjiang region, Etles Uyghur is as authentic as they come. This food is big on spice and flavour. Cumin-spiced meat, hand-pulled noodles and crispy naan breads are the staples, but everything demands to be tasted. Take the pitir manta, steamed dumplings filled with lamb and onion, or the da pan ji, a chicken and potato stew served with noodles. All the food is cooked fresh by a husband and wife team. There’s little else like this in London, so get down to Hoe Street in Walthamstow for the real deal.
