haven't been to the ferry boat before, lovely helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, great food and loved the live music .will certainly pay another visit soon.
Excellent food served by brilliant staff, they couldn't do enough for you. First time some of my friends had been and we plan to return ...
Great service, very good food, cosy interior. Easy to find and park. Lots of events throughout the week. The steak was cooked well. Good ales on offer.
My food was really good but my friend was cold. The service was slow and as stood at the bar and acknowledged by the staff, they still served everyone who arrived after me and missed me out altogether.
We recently visited the Ferry Boat for a family Sunday lunch. This was our first visit and we will certainly be returning, the venue was very clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and the service was good. We all had a roast dinner which was excellent, the food was well cooked and presented and all freshly cooked.
Best pub Sunday Roast weve had for a long time will recommend to all our friends. Friendly staff an extra bonus will certainly be back.
Three of us ate here. The liver and bacon was excellent, the falafel burger was very nice, and bacon and blue cheese burger was nice and thick. They actually forgot to put the blue cheese in the burger, but the bacon was done so nicely (crisp and tasty), I thought the blue cheese might has spoiled the flavour - so I certainly didn’t complain. The chips and coleslaw with the burgers were also very nice. Would recommend without question for a good pub grub meal.
The meal was very good. The vegetables came separate and the young lady serving offered us more..One bowl of green and one bowl of cauliflower cheese,we said yes as it wasn't really enough for 4. Unfortunately the extra vegetables arrived as we finished the meal so that was disappointing. However what we had was very tasty. The puddings were lovely but the large portion of crumble needed more custard.Again delicious. I would definitely return but I do think more vegetables should be given initially.
Excellent food, good range of real ales, good service, stayed for quiz very competitive and interesting. All in all lovely friendly village pub. Highly recommend a visit
Fantastic food, great service with a smile, helpful staff. reasonably priced, good choice on menu. Will definitely be returning. Clean & tidy, lovely pub to eat or just pop in for a drink.
Restaurant was a little busy with a large group, but the service was still fine. Liver & Bacon was very nice, Beef Brisket was as tender as you like, with a special mention for the gravy - which was the nicest I've had in a long time. The deserts were also excellent. Good value at around £80 between 3 of us including drinks.
