I love my job, visiting restaurants especially here, food was perfect, prices were great and the staff are very kind. 10/10

The restaurant seems to be closed upstairs and they have drastically reduced their menu size from our last visit which was disappointing. But our food and drinks we ordered were amazing and seating downstairs wasn’t an issue.

Visited on Friday tea time with partner, her daughter and parents. It was quiet and relaxed. Everyone enjoyed their meals which included pulled pork tacos, fish tacos, beef burrito and chicken burger. There was a mix up with the order when pulled pork nachos arrived instead of tacos. But this was dealt with effiently.

Toilets where dirty from the night before and all the toilet roll was soaked. I asked staff to replace this and they have gave me Blue roll from behind the bar which is not good! We enjoyed the food but waited around 45 minutes for 5 meals and it was 1pm on Sunday so was very quiet.

We didn’t even stay to eat. We walked in and were the only people there with three staff. It smelt worse than an old people’s home. When we chose a seat the table was not set it was still filthy from the last customers. Not necessary when there was 3 staff standing at the bar doing nothing! One who looked like possibly the manager was stood at the bar vaping and swearing like a trooper. Swiftly walked back out. Avoid at all cost.

‘Slow cooked’ beef rib was tougher than the bone it came on. Decent value in terms of the amount on the plate when using meerkat code but all in all, not worth it. Perhaps the simpler dishes are a little nice but I’d stay away from anything that needs cooking

I visited the Fire pit on Valentine's day for the first time with a few family members. I have to say the food was cooked to perfection. We all had starters followed by steaks and they were all cooked just as we requested. What made this meal such a disappointment was the service. We had to wait approximately an hour for our starters to arrive followed by almost another hour for the mains. When we did received the mains the chips arrived ĺng before the steaks did. I had almost eaten all mine long before any condiments or steak was offered. Also we all complained that our steaks were cold even though they had a delicious charcoal flavour. Also we ordered portions of garlic butter to accompany our steaks and were all brought blue cheese sauce instead. I wish I had been told they had no garlic butter before I poured it on my steak as I am no fan of blue cheese. Very disappointing experience especially when so few were In the restaurant.

Food was average, I wouldnt pay full price for the food as the quality of food is not worth £10. But the pub atmosphere is nice and the workers are pleasant.

It was a good atmosphere and the place it’s self was nice however the food was quite disappointing, the chicken wasn’t very good but the sides were really nice. Quite cheap would recommend for a drink not to eat

I went here for a meal with 2 friends and booked the night before, i was able to use meerkat meals also which made the experience alot more enjoyable. The food is brilliant and the staff are very nice.

Not my sort of bar , drinks in plastic glasses ....says it all . Won’t be venturing here again . Didn’t bother getting any food

Nice food in groupon deal. Went Sunday afternoon. Service fairly quick food hot and plentiful. New one opening in Halifax so will try there. The place is fairly open and so gets noisy as it used to be the fire station. Staff very helpful in explaining what you can have with the deal

Friendly staff, quick service and good food. Reasonably priced and will be going back in the future.

Food was nice but have been twice before & have had better. Portion sizes were definitely cut down so quite expensive if you were paying full price. Even though we booked a table there was nowhere to sit so were sent upstairs. Not sure whether I would go again because previously the food made up for the slack service.

Food was just ok....burger and chips.......ordered at 7.20 and it arrived an hour and a half later! My stomach thought my throat had been cut Probably wouldn’t again..... Ladies toilet- no soap or any means of drying hands 🙄

My partner and I were disappointed with what we were served once we had established what was actually available. Several items on the food and drinks menus had run out. The staff were friendly & helpful. It wasn't what we had expected sadly.

Excellent friendly staff great food. Excellent for parties. Lots to do so there was something for everyone. Reasonable price to say we hired it out for the afternoon

my food was lovely however both the chicken wings and the hotdog my husband ordered came and looked like they were reheated bits of food at least a day old.. the pulled pork on the hotdog was rubbery.. after complaining both times they swapped out the starter a.s refunded the price of his main meal but didn't offer to make him anything else. quite disappointing after his first experience here was 100% better.. not sure we will be back as we feel like they should concentrate on either food or drinks

Food takes a while but I expect that from this type of food so that was totally fine. Great atmosphere , friendly staff, food was so tasty!! I will definitely be back again

Waited far too long for food,whdn finally arrived meat was dry ad a bone and had obviously been cooked far too long or re heated. Didn't even have a corkscrew to open my husband's wine.. They gave us 100% of our bill but manager didnt bother to come and see us go discuss why we was unsatisfied, obviously happens frequently.

Overall think this is more of a sports bar than fire pit. Staff were nice, food average, menu could be clearer (doesn’t show what sides you get with some dishes). If your looking for an authentic bbq style venue/food then I would try 22 the smokehouse, Reds etc.
