Dim sum is a hugely popular staple in London, and in Clapham Fu Manchu is quickly establishing a reputation as the go-to place for this Chinese delicacy. A traditionally Cantonese delight, dim sum are bite-sized dumplings, usually served steamed or fried. This tapas-style approach to dining is obviously hugely popular with the capital’s overly-hip twentysomethings, and they’re well served at this Lendal Terrace restaurant. For those that enjoy a tipple with their dinner, the cocktail menu here should be enough to keep them engaged. Dim sum connoisseurs are encouraged to head down for all-you-can-eat Sundays to take advantage of the whole menu (and to sip something from the cocktail menu, obviously).
And while it is the food that rightly takes centre stage at Fu Manchu, that isn’t the whole story. The team at Lendal Terrace in Clapham take their party nights very seriously indeed, with weekly acoustic nights and a Friday night nu-disco with minimal techno and deep house to ring in the weekend. Those heading over on a Saturday evening are invited to partake in the dim sum disco with soulful house and an incredible drinks menu.
