Good menu. Definitely worth a visit, will be returning again soon.
Loved the food at The Galley. Will definitely be going back!
Food superb, staff amazing, good value for money, recommend it
Very average not that good at all, poor atmosphere, poor all round!!
I would highly recommend this restaurant! The food was top quality, it was cooked and presented beautifully. We could also not fault the service, the staff were friendly and professionally. We will certainly be visiting again!
Nice place and fun atmosphere with a live DJ. The food is good but not amazing and slightly over priced.
The food at Galley was excellent as usual. The tuna tartare is the star of the show and a dish not to be missed. The service was a little slow, but we weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t matter. A fantastic restaurant anyway.
Lovely place and very good food! Thanks a lot for great service!
The seafood platter was great! The service is really good too - great evening out :)
Lovely food and very friendly staff - would go again
Waiters first day, obviously no induction as didn’t even know where the toilets were. When we paid more senior guy said he thought the delay between courses was very long, but did nothing about it during our meal.
Service and food was both amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant
Great food and excellent portions and nice service was a nice evening with my butch
great restaurant if you like seafood. . . . .
Service very mixed, slow, mostly. Food was fine but unexceptional. No one in the group of 5 said they would go back. Helpfully put at the back when I rang ahead as they have a DJ on and it’s very loud. I liked the restaurant but not enough to give similar reviews as so many others have.
The restaurant door was open to the street and filled up with cigarette smoke causing an unpleasant experience while eating our meal. We ordered the Lobster special for 2 , and was told there was only one left so the other person had to order some other dish with Langusten & Linguine. We told the waiter to reduce the amount of Linguine and when got a dish mostly Linguine and very little of anything else, was bland with no seasoning with too much Linguine filling the plate.
We had the most amazing meal, all the food and cocktails were delicious and we all felt as if Ela and the rest of the hosting team couldn't do enough for us. Full of great menu suggestions and she evn got us an ice bucket to hold our flowers. Impeccable service, and a special thank you to Ela for making our birthday celebrations very special!
Booked for brunch, nice little restaurant and decent food, lovely atmosphere
Lovely restaurant for brunch with well presented dishes and friendly staff.
Two of us came for a bottomless prosecco late brunch and had the spaghetti vongole and lobster with chips. Both were really super excellent meals, I'll go back for the vongole again! We had an eton mess for dessert which was also very good indeed. The tables at the front were really busy and so we were inside which wasn't bad at all because it was too hot to be in the sun for me anyway and inside was less noisy and had a nice relaxing atmosphere. We watched the cooks at work and the staff were really great. They noticed that it was my friend's birthday and brought out another plate for dessert with a message on and a candle which was really sweet of them. It was £90 between us and for the standard of food and plenty to drink it seemed fair. Looking forward to another trip. The seafood was absolutely top!
The bar itself is lovely and the staff are polite, but it took 20 minutes to get a drink served.
Love this restaurant, amazing cocktails & very nicely done fish & seafood.
One of the best seafood restaurants I have ever been to! Everything was fantastic. A cup of coffee was on the small side though.
Food was fresh and absolutely fantastic. Very impressive and will be returning
I booked a table there for my friend's birthday without having been there before and we weren't disappointed. Staff were friendly, the atmosphere was great. The food was great and the cocktails. It was lovely to not feel rushed and that you had to leave within an alloted time. Will definitely go back.
Light, clever, cooking in a streetwise bistro location. The food is way better than the setting might suggest. Lovely, helpful staff. Worth a visit, but no bargain
Really impresssed with this restaurant. We went on bank holiday Monday and we didn’t catch her name but she was a wonderful host. So pleasant and friendly and made our meal really special. Would definitely come again and absolutely thrilled we picked this restaurant.
Really excellent food venue and a service. Very highly recommended
Always good food - one of the best places for fish local to us. Great oysters, great fish - the chips with Parmesan and truffle shavings should also not be missed!
So enjoy this place. Very classy food, relaxed atmosphere. Good for dates and friends.
Delicious food, friendly staff and great service. Will definitely go back.
Friendly service, great food, delicious cocktails. The place has a nice atmosphere. It was full but not crazy busy on a Fri, which was great.
friendly atmosphere Fantastic food I liked my fish and chips with minted peas very much.
As a vegan I was astounded at the options on the vegan menu. Having vegan mozerella in the arancini was amazing!! Absolutely delicious meal, brilliant, friendly chefs and lovely staff.
Great food and service. Caught the last hour of happy hour which always makes us happy.
Good food, nice service. The size of the portion of mussels was surprisingly small given it was a main course and this place is supposed to be a proper seafood place.
Firdt time here. Very impressed. Nice, friendly, welcoming staff. Attentive, but not over the top. Not a massively long menu, but a very good selection of interesting fish and shellfish dishes, with a steak and duck leg choice as well. Imaginative different recipes. Had some excellent, well-priced asian oysters to start. And we both decided to have the special. Fresh Norwegian cod steak on a bed of beautifully cooked and tasty spinach, with well cooked sweet tomatoes and a soft poached egg on top. Accompanied by a superb holllandaise type sauce ( Chiron?). It was fantastic. Never had such tasty cod, or any white fish before. We will be coming again. Good drinks list! Ran out of time for deserts (Kings Head Theatre 2 mins away). Saw some they looked great.
Nice place, great service, food was good but way too salty and a bit on the pricey side
Our 2nd visit to the restaurant and another lovely experience.
Great food! Very attentive service. Fantastic place for a romantic day.
