Food is average. Prices have gone up for oap menu & there’s no student discount.

Great service. Terrible food. Burger dry, Linguine sauce watery and tasteless a few prawns and clams. Shared seafood starter frozen not fresh far too much batter. Was looking forward to going but was a real let down. Upside staff were friendly and attentive.

The best Sunday lunch I have ever had, booked to go again the following week. Friendly atmosphere and so accommodating to everyone’s needs

Great food had lunch here we ate off the Senior Citizens menus either 2 or 3 courses at a very reasonable price we had 2 courses but that was quite sufficient with coffee to finish. The main menus & a specials board had a lovely selection of food.

Food was fair but not much variety in way of seafood.

We visited the restaurant a couple of months ago and was very impressed so decided to re-visit on Sat. 20th April as it was our wedding anniversary, but unfortunately it was like visiting a completely different restaurant, we were very disappointed and will not be re-visiting.

Normal for a busy restaurant and a weekend. Always really nice here

We had the valentine's Day menu. Food was good. Prawn and crayfish starters were plentiful. My wife had sea bream and it was 2 large fillets which was excellent. I had the rib eye and that was ok with muchrooms , tomato,onion rings and chips. Creme brulee for dessert which was good. Also we were given a free glass of champagne. A couple of things need improving though. You should be asked if you need any a sauces ,mustard etc with your main. The small condiment selection on the table included squirty mustard which was empty, so we had to get some from another table, and the knife and fork that were on the table when you got there,you had to use for your starter,so when they brought the mains you had to ask for more cutlery,which should have been laid out beforehand on the table as in most other restaurants. These may seem small things but it does give the appearance of not being very professional

Very nice meal for 4 of us.However I had a job to find 1 small mushroom in my starter! Have visited before and will visit again.Lovely log fire burning.

Overall very good. Soup was cool but otherwise the food was good and the price was excellent. The staff were very friendly and very attentive.

Very friendly staff could not do enough for us, pleasant surroundings and fantastic food. Portions sizes were good and reasonably priced. Definitely go again, will try Sunday lunch next.

Waited an hour for our starters and then another 45 minutes for the main course, disappointed with the quality of the food. Fish & chips very greasy

Beautiful food and nice choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommend the mushroom starter its delicious, and Mum says the syrup pudding and custard was great ! Thank you.

Good service nice meals all well cooked and presented we were not rushed the menu was very varied and catered for all tastes also there was a good selection of deserts

Very busy today with Christmas parties but our small group was still well looked after and the food a good standard. Well done Halfway House.
