We had the best lunch at Harlem Soul. The table was for 10 of us and our food arrived fairly quickly considering how busy the restaurant was on a Friday lunchtime. The music is great too.

Waiter wasnt sure what was in the food, a lot of things i cant eat. I ordered a salad and asked what was inside. All he said was greens. This wasnt helpful at all as it had quinoa in it also which im unable to eat. so it was disappointing

Nice restaurant serving halal food. There was a ramadan set menu at the time we attended. We asked to order from the a la carte menu and were accommodated. Food was good.

It was last on a Saturday night so very busy and loud as there was live music. Knew it would be busy so the long wait times didn’t surprise me but waited half an hour before getting served and it was another half an hour till our food came. Would come back again but maybe during the day or not on a Saturday evening.

Very tasty and the staff were extremely polite and helpful.

Booked a regular table upstairs to break our fast, fully aware that the iftaar menu was downstairs; as there were not many options on the iftaar menu we opted to just book a regular table. Turned up the waitress refused to give us the regular menu even though we were sat upstairs. The food was oily, bland and we ended up leaving before dessert was even served because we just felt immediately sick from it. Safe to say we wont be going back again!

Pretty poor service, got there to be told I couldn't order from the main menu and had to choose from a Ramadan menu. They are poorly equipped to deal with the number of customers they have. The waiter was very frustrated with this and it showed in his manner with customers. Wouldn't be going back anytime soon.

We received great service. The waitress we had was very welcoming and answered all our enquiries with a smile. I’ll be returning again due to the fantastic customer service we received. Food is good value for money and you’ll be well fed as the portions are very generous.

The restaurant was super busy, we were sat next to the kitchen and the chefs needed roller skates, the food did take longer than expected to arrive but the waiting staff kept us updated and we had chance to talk and enjoy a good drink, the food was great and we ate more than we should, we will definitely be returning, we had a lovely evening in a restaurant with a totally diverse client group and we were well looked after.

Absolutely love everything about Harlem Soul. The ambience, the wall art, background music and lastly the food which was delicious! Already thinking when to come back to try other things that caught my eye. The popcorn Shrimp had such a great flavour in the coating. This was a birthday treat dinner for my friend and he immensely loved everything about it and said it was a great choice! Having lived in New York, Harlem Soul gave that feeling of being back. See you again real soon!

Friendly staff and good variety on the menu, especially for diet requirements

When I arrived, I was first offered a table at the back of the restaurant, despite the fact that there was only one other table occupied. Luckily the waitress agreed to change this for me. The restaurant is brightly decorated with graffiti-esque murals which give it a vibrant atmosphere. The menu has plenty of comfort food dishes which all sound very tempting, as well as plenty of vegan options, including the Moving Mountains burger, which I've heard a lot about and was keen to try. Although the burger had the texture of beef, it tasted a little artificial and the garnishes could have been more generous to make it more of an indulgent choice for vegans. The sweetpotato fries the burger came with were great. The Popcorn Shrimp Tacos, however, were excellent - a tad spicy for some perhaps, but the tacos were proper corn ones and were generously filled with shrimp. Both the desserts and drinks menu were very tempting, but having indulged hugely already over Easter I decided to give them a miss. Service was a little pushy and I was only given a glass of water when I asked for one, but I will definitely be back to try some of the other menu options and also try some of those shakes!
