Harry’s Bar at London’s Abchurch Yard is one of our favourite spots around the City of London area for modern British and European cooking. Head to this rather refined bar and restaurant and begin your meal, perhaps, with seared fillet of beef carpaccio with rocket and shaved parmesan, or a wonderfully smooth parsnip soup with stilton crumb, drizzled with chestnut oil. For your main, the grilled sea bream fillet with sizzled ginger, chilli and spring onions is a delight, as is the pan-fried calves liver served with crispy pancetta and mash. Then, to finish off, try the classic French apple and cinnamon tart or the homemade marsala tiramisu.
