Not very helpful or friendly food was very average which spoilt the night as nowhere else in Helmsley to go at that time

Food was nice but the service was atrocious. Sat down for half an hour before being asked if we wanted any drinks. Another 20 minutes until they took the food order, which they kept getting wrong. Overall speed very slow when restaurant only had 3 tables in. Such a shame because when you finally get the food it's tasty.

My visit to this restaurant was bad experience after bad experience. The main issues were that the starter arrived with the mains then the sundries arrived 10 minutes after so the food was sat getting cold as we waited! The mat where I sat was saturated with cleaning fluid so when they put my plate down I was drenched in bleach subsequently refining the top I was wearing. My partner was so upset with this overall that we left without finishing our meals. The saving grace was the waiter waived the bill when he brought the full meals back to me in takeaway boxes, it went a long way to show how disappointed they were themselves in the service. The shame of it was the food was really tastey and

Great food - all freshly cooked, very generous portions (my starter of Aubergine Delight could have easily been a main!). Great service, staff looking after us really well. Overall a very enjoyable experience, can wholeheartedly recommend! :)

Excellent food served in a relaxed atmosphere. Large menu to select from. Only problem on the night for some people was it was cash only, no cards accepted.

Food was amazing. The Service was slow, and the toilets unclean. Would probably have a takeaway from here, but wouldn’t eat in the restaurant again.

We visited on a Saturday night. It took a very long time to get our starters I think there may have been a mix up with our order as another couple who came in quite a while after us got their starters before us. The starters when they came however were excellent as were the curries and sundries. One of the best Indian meals we've had in a while!

The food was very good, but on this occasion the service could have been better. We have had much better service on past visits. However the food has always been very tasty and good value.

Sadly we didn't stay long enough to eat, the place was crammed full no table ready for us and staff unaware of reservation. It was a very busy weekend and we have eaten there before and enjoyed it. It was so full and noisy that not fun for anyone wanting a quiet family meal. Sorry!

We are regular customers and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. Everything is excellent and we are very fussy eaters and picky curry fans. HS curried have an authentic taste and each one is different in taste. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We have a really enjoyable meal every time we go and highly recommend HS

Terrible! Arrived at 8pm, did not get the starter until 10pm. Had to continually ask to order and for drinks which never came. Food very sparce. We are a curry club which has been going for 10 years. One of the worst experiences!

If you like Indian food (or even if you don't) you should be able to get what you want, what you really, really want! Very attentive, friendly service and conscientious regarding dietary needs. Relaxing atmosphere.

The service and staff were excellent .we have been to lots of Indian restaurants and we thought it was one of the best .we would recommend to everyone .

We arrived at 18.00 and the restaurant was empty - (note to self - the council charge for parking on the Market Place until 18.30). We were warmly welcomed and seated. The menu is comprehensive. Unfortunately there are no draught beers - only bottled. The food, service and general ambience excellent - we'll be back.
