Food was lovely , quaint restaurant , friendly service we will be back

It's always been a family favourite. Friendly staff and great service. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. The food is delicious and I highly recommend.

First time back since it opened again after lockdown and it was just as good if not better

seemed to be a busy night, but we were serve our food within reasonable time. Only compliment had to keep asking for napkins for each course

We had to wait an hour and a half for our food after ordering it. We discovered that the whole restaurant had to wait while they served 'Pick Up' orders first. We should've been a priority, not Deliveroo or whoever.

Firstly they weren’t expecting us, even though we had booked, so we didn’t get off to a great start ! Secondly, the decor is now very tired indeed. I was sat opposite the door to the toilets which is so grubby that I couldn’t take my eyes off it. For gods sake guys, paint it and most importantly, clean it !! I shan’t upset you here by going into the details of the toilets but suffice to say that they look like no repairs or redecoration has been done in there since Hins took the premises. The food was really bland and the sweet and sour pork was like little dried bits of cardboard. We left it but no one asked why. It’s time they went, we shall not go back. We shall have to travel to Danny’s or the China Garden from now on. 😞

Nice atmosphere and the food was ok. We had quite a few dishes between 5 of us and nothing was horrible but nothing was amazing either! Just an averagely nice chinese

We had the set menu. Lovely food. And Good service.

The food was bland and lacked flavour. The lemon chicken was soggy and not crispy at all. The lamb with ginger and spring onion was tough and chewy. We had the duck and pancakes and as we had run out of pancakes with more duck left, we asked for 2 more and was told that we can’t have two more that we needed to order another potion of six and would have to pay for another 6. Not great customer service. The duck was also dry and bland and without the plum sauce we could have been eating anything as lacked in flavour. Actually left disappointed considering we took our mum for her birthday. There is a Chinese takeaway literally right next to my mums house but we decided to take her out for her birthday instead but wished we had just stayed home and just got a takeaway at hers because the takeaway is so much nicer and is amazing in flavour and fresh. Would definitely not recommend.
