great food been multiple times good service serv serv serv
Good food with a great range of choice. Excellent, speedy but non intrusive service for our group. Would recommend a visit and likely to return in future.
Have used this restaurant many times and it never disappoints. Food is vg quality and big portions. Overall excellent value. The service and staff are always excellent.
Service was excellent but the food was no where close. Its like it had all been precooked and warmed up only slightly. The rice was clumpy and the nan floury. The chilli sauce was really sweet and not spicy. A shame as it was a nice restaurant but i wouldn't go back.
Excellent food and good friendly service. This is our usual restaurant when our group of ex-colleagues get together twice a year. The food is so good we have never considered a different restaurant.
The food at Ignite is delicious and there is a large choice from their menu. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I had a prawn starter and then a Korma.
Excellent choice of Indian food on their menu. Great location at Haymarket with plenty of trams and buses. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection of wine.
Good service and lovely food. Clean premises. Clean well mannered staff. We've been a couple of times this year and will return on a regular basis
Excellent restaurant both in terms of the quality of food and the service. Good atmosphere and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for decent curry in Edinburgh.
Very nice food and quick service. Waiters very helpful and friendly. Great location in the centre of Edinburgh. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
pre rugby match ritual. highly recommended. excellent food. excellent service.
Superb place to eat pre rugby at Murrayfield. Excellent food.
Deluosious food, calm and relaxed dining experience tipped off with very friendly waiting staff. Heating was on full so a tad too hot for my guest but ok for me!! Would definitely recommend, worth a visit.
excellent service and excellent food. would recommend to anyone who likes curry.
Great service, lovely food! They did gluten free, with a smile. They even held the door for me as I left. Parking was a little tricky however.
They offer an excellent value lunch deal and the food is always very good. Staff are very friendly and always accommodate me as a vegan.
Once again an excellent evening at Ignite. Service and food are second to none.
Once again another excellent night at Ignite. Food, service and value all impeccable as always.
Table for 8 hungry blokes. Friendly and efficient service. Eaten at Ignite on 3 previous occasions. Some newbies in the group but all agreed food was excellent and full of flavour.
Excellent meal and the staff were very polite and friendly. The surroundings were comfortable and clean. We will certainly return with friends next time and recommended to others.
Another great night at ignite. Very good quality food, excellent service and great value for money.
Ignite is a bright and cosy Indian restaurant near Haymarket. There was a very tasty mushroom chat for starters followed by gently spiced sag panir whilst more fiery options were available.
It's nice and we enjoyed the dinner at Ignite. Food was good and well cooked.the ambiance is also very good. Recommended to give a try at least once also location is very handy
Really good food, good service and pretty reasonable value for money, I will be going back to this restaurant in the future and would recommend it
the food was delicious, staff were patient and helpful. overall, we had a great time.
Very disappointed with the choice of table I booked online and specifically asked for a quiet table this was not the case my partner and myself were put beside a table of rugby supporters who were really noisy all night it was impossible to chat to each other and the language was foul it was that bad the supporters themself knew they were in the wrong and paid for a drink for the two of us I complained to the waiter about the table location and was disappointed to be ignored plus we were behind the front door and it was cold every time people came in
An excellent meal and very good value. I use this restaurant on a fairly regular basis because the service and food and atmosphere are pretty consistent.
Service and food both very good. Would go again. Small but not crammed in. Rogan josh very nice. All 6 of us enjoyed the experience.
Very quiet on a Sunday evening. Attentive service. Overall, very good food - would recommend the king prawn and spinach. Naan bread was a bit doughy.
Ignite is currently one of the very best Indian restaurants in Edinburgh. You’ll always get a great meal and the staff are fantastic. Highly recommended!
We use this restaurant on a fairly regular basis. It is always good value, excellent staff and service and the food is of a consistently high level.
Lovely meal with my sister on a quiet Wednesday evening. Staff were attentive, table settings were nice and clean. Was plenty full after the mixed kebab starter and the tandoori lamb chops; the chops were so delicious!
One of the best Indian restaurants in Edinburgh-- very good food and excellent service. Reasonable prices and good value for money. Have used a number of times and quality is always consistent.
This restaurant's food deserved full marks but having to sit just inside the door past our booked time while the staff fussed over some large parties (birthday, stag night) means I have to mark them down for service. Also the level of noise was really distracting. This was not coming from the stag party beside us but rather from the other side of the restaurant which made me think it was more to do with the acoustics in the place.
The Ignite is the best Indian food restaurant in Edinburgh. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is very welcoming. We love eating here.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Edinburgh . First class service and the meal was superb, booked a table for four people in advance, just as well as it was very busy on Saturday night, definitely will return.
The standard of the food was poor . Although my friends and I ate the food , my wife's lamb cutlets were inedible . They must have been lying around for a long time or being kept warm in an oven . They were completely dried out and so tough she could not even cut them . We were not charged for them but were told the kitchen was now closed ( 2.15pm ) and all the waiter could offer was chicken tikka which she doesn't care for.
The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and attentive and the varying curries are all very tasty. Child friendly as well.
Great food and very friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make us welcome. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Edinburgh. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Great tasty food, a great atmosphere and excellent service! A great experience all around!
Extremely courteous staff. excellent food and served in a timely fashion. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff. We were pleasantly surprised at the portion size of all lunch menu meals - comparable with evening meals and freshly prepared at the time of ordering.
Excellent in every regard, good v nice not spice killing tastes but pleasurable harmony of flavours & excellent sevice. Would go back for sure, highly recommended
Wonderful food and service. Freshly prepared with complex, delicious sauces. Especially liked the breads- naan and poppadums, raita. We ate their "classic" dishes. Many menu choices and Cobra Indian beer. Our waiter Ferdous was very informative and gracious
Brilliant atmosphere, attentive staff and mind blowing food. Very reasonable prices. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone wishing to experience authentic recipes.
Dined at Ignite the first week it opened more than a decade ago. Been back a few times over the years, the last time being Saturday Sep 9 and one things remain constant.... the quality of the food is as high as our initial visit. Put simply, a good place to eat.
I have been to this restaurant twice now, and on both occasions have had good food and attentive staff. The lunch menu is a good value, and the hot towelettes at the end of the meal are a nice touch
We all found the food delicious and service attentive but not overly so. I prefer my panir to be in chunks rather than crumbled but that's just me!
