We booked for 11 but only 6 managed to arrive. However, food and service were superb

Lovely visit but Il Capitano no longer exists !! Excellent

As always. though the place has changed hands again, the food and the ambiance were perfect. The service could not be faulted and the cleanliness, what could be seen, was excellent. The pricing maybe a little on the high side for Leatherhead and this might deter some people from returning.

they have a few teething problems, the food took a long time to come, but was very good when it did arrive.

The food was tasty but they delivered an incorrect main course and said that’s what we had ordered when we queried it. They then admitted it was incorrect and although we agreed to accept it rather than wait for the correct dish to be cooked, no adjustment was made to the bill - not even a complimentary coffee! Disappointing.

Excellent food, good size portions, service excellent at times, slow also, nice to see variety of seating options. all in all very good and would recommend.

Food was good ; well cooked, presented well, & tasty. Small menu choice. Nice surroundings and attentive staff. Would I go again? Yes I would.

It's about the fourth time we've been to Il Capitano and each meal has been great. Freshly cooked to perfection. good atmosphere, attentive staff and reasonably priced.

Surprisingly quiet so near to Christmas so lacked atmosphere. The staff were pleasant, food fine. Overall, the experience was ok but with so much choice in Italian pizza/pasta restaurants I’m not sure we would return

Good service and atmosphere but food a bit variable amongst 5 of us. 1 excellent, 3 goods and 1 very disappointing. Will try again as not conclusive.

Il Capitano is a little bit of Italy not to be missed. I booked for the family for my husband's birthday as a surprise. It was a first visit for all of us, but will certainly be followed by more visits. Food was superb, ambience and service great. Without being asked they lowered the lights and brought my husband's dessert to him with a candle and a chorus of Happy Birthday. Special evening. Thank you Il Capitano. Sue H, Ashtead.

Very tasty and nicely presented meal. Excellent service. Nice surroundings too. We have already booked to return again soon and would recommend it to others.

Really good ambiance to the place Staff attentive and polite. Food excellent but I had mussels and had a little tummy problem but that’s me 🤨😆

Nice restaurant, pasta bolognaise was one of the best I have had out. Portions huge. Kids food great. Only disappointment was the homemade deserts were overpowered with alcohol, they tasted horrid. And my kids had the ice cream.... my daughters poo was bright green the next day!! If I was going again, unfortunately I would avoid desert. Otherwise it was good, and I would visit again.

We had a lovely experience, fantastic food and wine. The service was great and a great atmosphere Well looked after and can’t wait to go back.

We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed a free choice of tables as the restaurant was quiet when we arrived. It soon filled, which was good for a Tuesday. We both shared a delicious starter and then had pasta, which was excellent and very tasty. We will return.

This was our second visit to Il Capitano; this time we went with friends. We had a warm welcome and the food was equally as good as our previous visit. The helpings are generous and tasty. We will return soon.

We went to Il Capitano on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The welcome, service, food and wine were all excellent. We had lamb cutlets and a fillet steak and both were cooked to perfection and were delicious. We will return - soon.
