Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. A finalist in the Scottish Italian Awards 2015 and a neighbourhood fixture down Cadzow Street on the northern edge of Hamilton’s town centre, Il Capriccio is a must-visit destination for lovers of Italian cuisine and culture. While it’s the authentic Neapolitan-style pizza that has made Il Capriccio famous in Lanarkshire and over in Glasgow, this cosy cafe-restaurant is also ideal for a simple espresso (brewed from the finest imported Caffe Dokito blends) and a bite to eat. An affordable lunch menu keeps things rolling during the day, while the evening a la carte menu is packed with traditional classics. Look for the tricolored flag on the corner of Cadzow and Church Street, but be sure to book yourself a table to avoid disappointment – this local spot is a favourite.
I would not recommend this "restaurant" to anyone. Horrible and unwelcoming staff. Food undercooked and over priced. Made to feel unwelcome and practically pushed out the door.
Great menu and delicious food; very friendly and helpful staff; really nice atmosphere. We have been several times before and absolutely love it! Highly recommend!
This place is amazing. A little piece of Italy in the heart of Hamilton. Staff superb, food is out of this world. Not a place to walk by. May need to book at times.
