Expensive but delicious food, service good but not outstanding, specials expensive.
Great Family run restaurant with excellent food and attentive service.
Super restaurant one of my favourites. Delicious food ....... then the bill ..... insisted they could only take cash and I was sent off in search of a cash machine. Why not tell me before I sat down to lunch. The delay made me late and I got soaked ! Not at all impressed.
Piccolo ristorante , intimo , con un ottimo cibo e un servizio veloce ed efficiente
amazing food, brilliant atmosphere. definitely recommend the black truffle pasta.
Pasta is amazing! Service was excellent. People are also very nice.
Neighbourhood restaurant with great food and warm service. A real discovery for us. Already booked our next trip.
Extremely good family owned and managed restaurant who are keen to please
Special courses not on the menu were not priced and proved to be very expensive!
A traditional Italian experience that never disappoints. Service is attentive, and friendly
Excellent pasta. Il Vicolo remains a unique, friendly and good value restaurant tucked away in Crown Passage.
Delicious authentic Italian dinner in the heart of London. Wonderful, quaint family restaurant. Definitely recommend!
Visited here because it's close to The Mall (post bike riding). A little hard to find, tucked away down an alley. We were surprised that it was almost empty at 9pm on a Saturday night (the two other tables left shortly after we arrived) and were worried it wasn't going to be good. The food was really delicious - we had pasta each. Farfalle with prawns, cream and mushroom was amazing - incredibly rich, a touch of garlic, definitely not a diet dish. Ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta in a walnut sauce was lighter bit still really tasty. We had a bottle of wine from (I think!) Serbia which was fab. We shared a dessert of tart del nonna, which I don't think was home made, seeing it come out of a box in the fridge. It was very nice, moneyless, though I do wish restaurants would not feel the need to drizzle everything with cheap chocolate sauce. Service was nice -friendly and chatty and we didn't feel rushed to leave despite being the only table left. The room could do with a bit of a spruce up (chairs looked a bit tired, lots of paperwork and mess around the bar area) which may or some people of. Overall prices are a bit higher than feels appropriate (meal for 2 with summer, 1.5 course each, was £83 excl tip) but it was exactly what we were looking to eat that evening and was an enjoyable evening.
Great food, good value for money, although it would have been great to be served a little faster.
Excellent food, good service. Very enjoyable evening. Looking forward to next visit.
The food was delicious, served with great charm and enthusiasm. He helped us choose the wine when we asked and it was perfect. The tables and chairs are not too close and yet the atmosphere is cozy. It is one of my favorite places!
Excellent food and service. I would certainly go there again.
Really wonderful food We've eaten there several times in the past and all have been excellent. Highly recommended
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Always a pleasure to visitor a delicious authentic Italian lunch or dinner
Excellent food and service as always. It’s my go to place in St James.
Good location for Mayfair, discrete restaurant down a passage - a little dirty, great food, functional unobtrusive service. Will become a staple “ go to” restaurant.
Unfortunately on the whole it wasn't the greatest of experiences. It was full and by the looks of it with mostly repeat visitors by the way they were treated. We had to ask to order both drinks and our food and had to remind the staff to bring water. The starters were overpriced and the one my partner had (calamari) was overcooked and just warm. The main courses however I don't feel were overpriced and were very nice. Not once did the staff ask if our meals were ok. I was very disappointed, especially after all the great TripAdvisor reviews. I won't be going back but with so many other places to try in London, why would you.
Excellent, tasty and well cooked food together with attentive but unobtrusive service and a great ambience made for a much needed relaxing evening at the end of the working week.
Absolutely wonderful! Delicious food, gorgeous wine and superb service! We had a lovely birthday lunch and didn't want to leave! We will be back for sure. Thank you to all the staff.
Even though it is a busy time everyone was very courteous and the food was very good. It is a wonderful location for a small restaurant and provides great value for money.
A gem of a restaurant located just off Pall Mall. Service is exceptional. Food is authentic. Full restaurant but could not fault the attentive staff. Will return again.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. House red was nice and light. This was a working lunch and much was achieved despite the restaurant being quite noisy when full.
Very friendly and welcoming despite my having to dine alonet lunchtime, having booked for 2 people. They have special dishes each day and I commend selecting them. A good 'local' restaurant in an area which has relatively few.
Superb food and service. A warm family run restaurant featuring classic southern Italian dishes which bring joys of La Mama’s cucina to St. James. What a great experience!
Casual trattoria on a side street off of Pall Mall. Compatently prepared food served by friendly staff. Waitress brought us a dish we had not ordered, but that was the only glitch.
Quiet place and I liked that, kind owner, friendly and professional staff, the food was good especially the "cannelloni" and the "Tiramisù, a little bit expensive.
A friendly family run Italian restaurant with good food and a warm atmosphere. An unpretentious and worthwhile meeting place if what you are looking for is a low key restaurant which celebrates good Italian food.
