Situated on Chelwood Drive, just off of Street Lane, Ira B’s serves up classic Jewish food with a bonkers mood. With its exposed brick walls, mismatched furniture, nostalgic decor and top hat lampshades, this quirky restaurant is winning over the hearts of locals, frequently hailed as Leeds’ best-loved restaurant. From bowls of homemade chicken soup with lokshen and knaidlach to an array of sandwiches, Ira B’s menu is full of hearty, deli-style American Jewish cuisine. We recommend The Grobbler sandwich filled with salted beef, and other delicious fillings include chicken schnitzel, fried fish, hummus and roasted vegetables, or chopped liver just like how your nana used to make. Located over in Roundhay, Ira B’s attracts diners from all over the city. Don’t just believe the hype – book a table and find out what all of the fuss is about for yourself!
great food great atmosphere as always if you crave homemade Jewish cooking in Leeds this is the only place to go Ira takes much pride in running a tight ship and oversees everything with care
Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. Always lively, and very child friendly - our party of four adults and children aged 1, 4 and 9 all loved it.
Great atmosphere and even better food. Enjoyed it so much, we even ordered a sandwich to take home for later. Will definitely be back, highly recommended.
