Italian Farmhouse adds lots of little contemporary touches to an otherwise wonderfully traditional Italian way of dining. The result is a charming Italian restaurant within the former Clarence Villa pub on Coxhoe’s Durham Road. It’s cosy, relaxed and the food is simple yet spectacular. From the menu you can expect pizza, pasta, an impressive array of main dishes and, this being a pub, a long list of wines, beers and real ales. Ask anyone in this part of Durham and they’ll tell you that Italian Farmhouse Coxhoe is quite the little gem indeed. Reserve a table now.
Great food, traditional interior, nice atmosphere, friendly & helpful service. We've been before & will certainly go again. They are flexible & will make small alterations for personal tastes if asked. Highly recommended.
Absolutely delicious and very friendly staff. Food was fresh and full of flavour. The beer was also very good and we later discovered they have their own gin so definitely going back
Lovely food and atmosphere also nice welcoming for kids too. Will try again and recommend to others. Lovely Sunday dinner with apple gravy to die for
Lovely food and very friendly people 😊 kids enjoyed making their own pizzas, would definitely go back again. My little one loves going in summer as likes playing in the beer garden outside.
Good tasty food as always, although only a few tables we were left waiting for service quite a bit, like ordering and between courses. For some reason only half the plates were cleared, we waited to order ice creams for our children and the waitress still left the plates on the table. Fortunately we weren't in a rush but a little more attention would have made this visit a higher rating.
Food and service was amazing, staff were attentive and I never had an empty glass. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The only downside was the room temp it was just way too hot but we left the dining room to finish our drinks and the air was cooler in the bar
Lovely food and friendly staff. The children really enjoyed making their own pizzas. Only negative was one of the kids ice creams didn’t arrive with the other desserts but this was quickly rectified when pointed out to staff.
When we arrived they did not have the booking wrote down. Pretty quiet at the time so got seated ok. I had the baked cod witch was very nice. My wife ordered the fillet steak and when it cam it was inedible. I have never seen a fillet steak before that was all gristle. Sent the steak back and obviously did not pay for it. We got the old excuse of "we have just changed supplier". Overall not a good night out especially as it was my wife's birthday.
Food was beautiful. Plenty of choice. Reasonably priced. Excellent service. Great time was had by all. Never known anywhere with such a choice of ale. Will definitely be returning.😊
Great food and great service , we had off the set steak menu two steaks and a bottle of wine for 20 pound fantastic. Will definitely be returning.
