Beautiful space that's very unique and unlike any other restaurant I've been too. The food was really good too so I would definitely recommend to others!

This is a great restaurant for business lunches - they do a fab £5 workers lunch as well but you cant eat them in the restaurant. service is touch and go but overall very good.

The food was good but ambiance a bit less, maybe because it was a bit empty

Jago is somewhat tucked away on Hanbury Street, away from the plethora of restaurants on Brick Lane. With a clever mixed use of space between the restaurant/bar and funky offices, it presents a quite different vibe to other places in the area, and is a bright, lofty and welcoming place. On our visit, the traditional jazz soundtrack to the evening also enhanced the atmosphere. Staff are friendly and the food is delicious, with a tapas/sharing style to all the dishes. Well worth a visit if you're after something Mediterranean accompanied by wine or cocktails.

Very diverse and interesting menu. My partner had the octopus and blood orange which he thoroughly enjoyed and we shared the cauliflower dish and gnocchi. Marvellous tasting food and great service, but a bit pricey!

Great food as always from an imaginative menu. It's always nice to take 'newbies' there and them to hear their compliments. Not guaranteed always to be on the menu, the fish, both mackerel and skate, was superb. 5 of us shared for lunch. It really is a gem.

Great new menu. Simply delicious. Good to see the Nduja still on though but the very simple but very tasty Anchovy rarebit was a triumph.

Very nice restaurant, the food is ok, but I dont think that is good enough for the price. On top of that "optional" charge is included in the bill.

Great food. Simple menu, clean flavours. The waiters provided a lovely service and explained the menu clearly. The cava & vermouth cocktail is highly recommended. Very enjoyable.

Great food in a quirky space (I've been told it was award-winning, in fact!) - it was on the quiet side on a Saturday afternoon but the food was done very well. I had the octopus salad and it was very refreshing. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced as well.

The food was fresh and delicious, the cocktails were great, and the hosts very nice! we particularly enjoyed the great advice on the wine. Only downside is that the mains are quite tiny, some main salads should be presented as starters and the bigger salads should remain in the mains section.

Food was all really tasty and service was really good. Definitely expensive for what it is (eg £10 for a plate of potatoes) but everything still tasted good

Delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service. All of the dishes were well presented and tasty, although we would have liked a slightly larger portion of cheese for our money as it was so good!

The restaurant is tucked away, just down the road from Brick Lane market. It's a wonderfully wacky building and it feels like you're dining in a conservatory with a glass covering and bright orange painted wood covering the bottom half of the interior. It feels very modern and is very comfortable. We ordered clams, confit tuna and bread for our meal. The waiter didn't explain that the figures were relatively small/ the menu was meant to be sharing or tapas style, however the portion was enough given that my friend and I weren't particularly hungry. The confit tuna was lovely - well cooked and it went well with the salad. The clams tasted great. The service was fine and the food was well priced. I think Jago is the sort of trendy place that's worth experiencing if you're in the area and it would be a perfect place to go with a large group of friends.

Enjoyed the experience and would return. Dishes are well priced and interesting. We loved the spicy njuda on toast and also enjoyed our roast poussin and octopus and orange salad. Cooking is unpretentious and service is attentive. Great wine selection!

Took a colleague who had never visited before this time. He was impressed with quality of the food and the surroundings which on a busy lunchtime he found fascinating. I went veggie as ever. The Mushrooms were great and the cheese which we included in our starter (as I am always too full later) was excellent. My colleague's Tuna was well presented and disappeared fast. Another great Jago's experience

Very interesting building design and tasty food - I recommend the duck. On the down side, it didn't quite feel like a professional restaurant, more a pleasant cafe run as a sideline of the office space.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a great place to eat on a sunny day. The food was excellent and expertly prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients - portions could be slightly larger.
