For an Indian or Bangladeshi meal in Canterbury, Kashmir Tandoori is without doubt one of your best bets. With a slight emphasis on balti dishes, the menu here has been put together by passionate chefs with vast knowledge of of both Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine. You can therefore expect the classic UK curry house experience with a rather special Kashmiri touch. You’ll find Kashmir Tandoori in the very centre of Canterbury on Palace Street where you can be assured of a wonderfully warm welcome. This Indian restaurant does get busy, mind you, so reserve a table now to avoid disappointment.
Booked a table for a Mother's Day treat. The table wasn't set when we arrived, the service was poor and the waiting staff were so dour that we felt rather unwelcome. Fortunately the food was lovely, the silver lining of an otherwise unenjoyable experience.
food was OK but service wasn't great. They seemed to concentrate on there take aways than the restaurant. Was so cold had to put my coat back on. King prawn curry had probably 2 prawns chopped up. Have been before and always been ok but has put me off going again, sadly
Good reception, \Table ready. Extensive carte. Prompt service. Food very good, only negative comment the lamb (?) in the Tandoori-mix was over done. Excellent value for money. Patrick
